Beastars 2nd Season (Anime) add

"his fangs... are finally what lifted my curse" - Louis

The melancholy yet harsh truth of reality is what Beastars portrays best, its beautiful layering and development far exceeds many anime as of the recent years. And not many seem to understand why due to its somewhat profound plots that aren't relevant or preternatural as some may say, but the real answer is, that Beastars is the closest thing to modern day time and societal issues, its symbolism by using anthropomorphic animals rather than humans is one of the most creative and smartest ways I’ve seen in which to portray human values. In ... this review I will go off the criteria of Story, Art, Sound, Character and overall enjoyment.

Story - 10/10
The story has so much too express, the world building is unlike almost any other as it splits and divides the two as they rub yet blend with each other, the society in this world tries to bring equality yet there is no where that both carnivores and herbivores stand in, an example of this would be the black market, where many carnivores and herbivores face tragedy, lust and joy. Not everyone is able to understand or live in such a place yet some can break the limits of this. Some things just weren't made for both... yet it is. Beastars still has so much more development to come in this new period of surrounding time. It's a world with no boundaries and somewhere amazing where it's leading it. The characters have so far to go and reach yet it already feels like there somewhere far in only such a short amount of time. As we see the emotion and characters build up one step at a time.

Art - 9/10
The art being CGI still holds its ground with its abstract values that to be fair 2D would not do its justice for any way. Although Beastars may not be 10/10 for its art it still fights amongst the best in my opinion. The thing I believe CGI does even better than 2D is create a atmosphere for the world, it may seem far fetched to some but I believe it's staggering and really shows more of this world then you can even imagine in the first place, from its dark corners to its bright summits it really creates two gaps between this world of pity and damage. We also see the great use of CGI during the fight scenes from the way the characters' bodies move fluidly through the scenes, almost as if I had a front row seat in the moment and a gun to my head just as I couldn't look away even if I wanted too.

Sound - 10/10
The sound.... let me say this again THE SOUND, is tremendously beautiful and creates an atmosphere almost unlike any anime, from its classical and jazz sounding music to its harsh and violent sounds in the most perfect of perfect times. Even whilst I'm writing this review I'm listening to a Beastars soundtrack mix, just because it's something so amazing and that anyone could listen to wherever they go and at any time. Beastars deserves more than what it has, a form of award for it's music and soundtracks would seem fitting at least. The series without the music or sound would change it drastically, it wouldn't be close to what it is now if it weren't for this amazing sound. Just listening to some of the music in this show can bring out emotion in me because it carries the memories with it almost like a weight throughout the series. Character - 10/10
The characters have so much development it's not even funny. Just watching these characters can make me cry one moment then laughing the next. It feels like I'm truly witnessing a beautiful world unfold into something even more than what it is already. It blows my mind in only a short period of time, the phenomenal and sinister development of only two characters is just insane and almost shouldn't be possible, Legoshi and Louis face their own reality as the struggles of both their situations become their greatest turning points in the series so far. Not only is Louis battling the new environment in a carnivore filled world but is having to try to adapt to something that no one should ever have to face, Louis has been struggling from the start of his life and it's just an endless road for what may come for him. Legoshi on the other hand has now come to a realization on what he must do, although the people around it find it hard to see him face this environment as it unfolds, he sees that he must finish what was once started in order to serve a meaning of justice into this world of hatred and unbalance. Legoshi and Louis really set the bars high but I can still see the others around them like Jack or Haru developing a lot more as well. The best example to sum this up without dragging it on for ages would be that “it’s as if Louis and Legoshi are only waiting to bloom and grow as individuals whilst crossing each others paths along the way with the help of rain in which is the people around them”.

Enjoyment/Overall - 10/10
Well my enjoyment comes from all of the above topics I spoke about, and overall this series is nothing less than a 10/10, from the way the characters socialize and develop to the beautiful sounds from the surrounding environment. This is all what really makes it deserve a 10/10 at its core.

Monogatari Series -
“But being optimistic isn’t a bad thing, is it? it’s not like you’re doing anything bad. it’s also not like you’re cheating either.” – Koyomi Araragi. The Monogatari Series, a series known for its heavy driven dialogue, deep concepts and character development, is a series that never leaves me disappointed in any way. In this review I will use the following criteria to express my reasoning behind why I believe The Monogatari Series is this substantial.

Story - 9/10
The Monogatari Series revolves around story and its key elements are story and character development so I'm not surprised how good it is considering its ... main plot idea. The main story follows Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student, who manages to withstand and survive a vampire attack, with the help of a mysterious and strange man named Meme Oshino. Although Meme Oshino was able to heal him, Koyomi Araragi still has several side effects such as enhanced vision and superhuman healing. Regardless of this, Koyomi Araragi still tries to live a normal high school student life, until a fellow classmate, Hitagi Senjougahara, falls down a high flight of stairs and is caught by Koyomi Araragi, but as he catches her he realises that she is weightless, is he not the only one?

The story is portrayed beautifully, although sounding a bit basic or even cliche it is much more than that. Koyomi Araragi is not only just doing about his life as a high school student but the premise of the story is that he is there to help others that suffer from these supernatural things. Some of these follow traditional beliefs such as the monkey paw, the monkey paw is used for ancient rituals and usually associated with gods and demihumans. You now may be wondering why it's not 10/10, well the reason is that for a lot and many people it is hard to indulge in as it a very listening and reading based series which needs the viewers full attention, there are also times where I felt it was a little rushed but not enough to make it too much worse or unenjoyable.

Character - 10/10 -
The Monogatari Series is all about the development of characters and it does a damn good job at it. Koyomi Araragi is serving a duty for others in helping them overcome the supernatural like issues that they are facing. Whilst dealing with these surrounding issues, Koyomi Araragi develops a bond between these characters. As time moves on The Monogatari Series uses very unique and amazing ways to convey this such as how they move the world around them at a slower and faster pace depending on what's going on within that time frame of development. It's a very strange and hard to explain concept but it uniquely intrigues people as the characters are slowly facing these troubles and overcoming them.

Sound/Music - 9/10
The sound and music in The Monogatari Series is absolutely fantastic and is a strong part of why it makes it more immersive, examples of my personal favourite soundtracks include the following. Sensou, Mayoi Ushi, Sanpo and Sutekimeppou, to name only a few. These all vary from catastrophic and fast pace to slowed and relaxing songs to fit any moment or scene needed. The sound in the show is very interesting, the way the show is animated and done uses a lot of different kinds of sounds to almost enlighten the ears in a way. It creates a very strong atmosphere to the show and intensity in it the moment when needed. But once again you may be wondering why not a 10/10, well the answer is that sometimes it felt too simple or a bit out of place, there would be some scenes, if not most, where I thought it was perfect and amazing but then the occasional few where I thought they could have composed or chosen a different song for the moment and time.

Art - 10/10
Now this is quite debatable, it was quite hard for me to decide to give it a 10/10 or 9/10, but in the end I thought about it and although it may not be able to compare to some amazing scenes and animation now in 2020 such as Ufotable Studios. It still holds its ground with its beautiful and abstract visuals to keep up with the dialogue and story. I will include some scenes linked here, fight. As you may have seen, the abstract element is very prominent and key to the dialogue that revolves around the fight. Small details such as the camera angles and composition that are looked over, the
Monogatari Series has some iconic camera angles that are uniquely used such as the use of a lot of close ups and overhead shots to create a certain atmosphere. Most of the series looks like a movie poster just because of how good it looks and considering the fact that it was first released in 2009 (Bakemonogatari). Really goes to show that it aged well without disappointing anyone.

Overall Enjoyment - 10/10
Overall The Monogatari Series to me is something special, it's hard to explain but whenever I watch it, it's almost like a nostalgic feeling, or something memorable that will always stick with me. But overall I highly recommend that you watch The Monogatari Series, as I believe it's something you will never forget neither regret, as rather than a time consumer, it's an experience of a lifetime.

Fate/stay night Movie: Heaven's Feel - III. Spring Song (Anime) add

"Wow", thats all I can say after seeing this today, I was lucky enough to see the first airing in Australia in cinemas. And I dont regret a single thing, the true beauty of this movie to finish off the Heavens Feel Trilogy really was amazing and I hope you can understand why...

Story - 8
The story to me was very good and enjoyable, although this movie did contain some plot issues and times where I thought it could of improved but overall it really had great character development and content to make you sit at the edge of your seat with anticipation ... and leaving you eager to see what happens next. This movie really finished on some great story development of not only the characters but the world as a whole, its immersive fantasy and characters really left me feeling dazzled by how well done this movie was.

Art - 10
Theres not even much to say considering ufotable animated it, the fights were absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing for the eyes, and the world was just beautiful, it almost seemed like every shot/camera angle in that movie could of been a movie poster because of how amazing everything looked due to the amazing contrast of colour and composition. The fight scenes are something I will never forget for my life, there were about 2 fights in particular that were my favorite although I wont name them in spare of spoilers, all I can tell you is, is that the fights are stunning and live to they hype.

Sound - 9
Once again considering the rest of Fate, I wasn't surprised to hear so many amazing soundtracks which fitted every scene perfectly and made the fights along with the visuals 10x better than what it already was. The actual sound and voice acting was great, the tone and speech was very well done and made me feel very immersed whilst watching and left me re-thinking the scenes after I had seen the film. But the reason I didn't give this a 10 was due to some minor scenes which I think could of been illustrated better with a different pace of sound or music to fit it.

Character- 9
This movie, or even this movie trilogy was all about the development of the characters and Sakura in particularly, and to me the movie did a damn good job at it, the amazing sentimental moments of people understanding or breaking down was very well portrayed and was executed very well, even at one point I shed a tear due to the moment between characters. But you are probably wondering why not a 10?, although its very close to a 10 I feel like they tossed a couple things aside or swept certain things away too fast in a way which sometimes made it feel a bit unnatural, otherwise it was great/

Enjoyment - 9
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie a lot, it had been a while since I had been this excited to see an anime and it sure didn't disappoint or left me feeling like I wasted $20 on seeing it because of the reasons I listed above.

Overall - 10
Overall this movie conveys and portrays the meaning and value of the Fate series strongly and I highly recommend when you get the chance to watch this film and really take in the finale of Heavens Feel wherever you are around the world or start watching it if you haven't already done so.

Bakuman. 3rd Season (Anime) add

Bakuman se 3 is really a true work of art and heres why I stand by point and the reasoning behind why...

Whilst watching Bakuman from start to finish I loved it, when I first watched season 1 I gave it a 10/10, then watching after season 2 which was even better than season 1 so I gave it a 10/10 and finally this season (season 3) was at a new level and was better then all of Bakuman.

The story and character development was by far the best in almost any anime I have seen, the sheer enjoyment from watching it made me say things out ...

Well first Ill start by stating how much of a train wreck this anime was. From start to finish it was just a death after another (not stating who obviously) but it was really just boring and didn't allow and character development and building and composure to this anime. The story at first really did seem good and was excited to watch it after good first thoughts on it, but it really was a disappointment. This anime also tended to have too many rinse and repeat moments as it felt like there wasn't really a goal or something that happened to make ...
