Hello, I have been watching anime since I was young but never knew it was anime. I just thought that they were Saturday morning American cartoons. When I was 15 I officially discovered the world of anime and manga when I no longer had the patience to wait a week for a new episode of Naruto to air. At first I was just a causal watcher and reader, but when I became active on the Tales Runner (a racing MMO) forums its community led me to become addicted. Now it's years later and I'm still addicted. >.<
If you happen to be looking at my lists I would just like to explain three things. First, my ratings are primarily based on how much I enjoyed the text with respect to other texts I have viewed. My enjoyment is heavily based on the plot, themes, music, and characters of a work; the aesthetics, pacing, and other things not listed tend to be secondary to these. Should I ever decide to write reviews this would definately change. So far 7 and up is highly reccommended, 5-6 is reccommended, 4-2 is reccomended with reservation, and 1 is not reccommended. Secondly, if MAL decides to split up a series based on seasons all of those seasons will share the same rating. This applies to specials, ovas, or movies if and only if they expand the main plot in what I consider a meaningful way. Finally, if you've noticed that the counter for the number of days I have watched anime seems excessively high in relation to the number of anime series I have watched this is because I tended to rewatch what I have enjoyed rather than watch new anime. For example I have rewatched Eureka 7 six times. With that I hope you find my list useful.
