Probably the same story line,alien/angel lives with the boy, the boy likes another girl,Alien/angel always causes trouble, another alien/angel is sent to kill the boy, and they have the same amount of ecchiness. one of the VERY few differences is that dokuro is an angel and Lala is an alien. So to-love-ru is kind of like an extended version of dokuro-chan.
