I just started Kaiji today! Only a couple of chapters in and it's already pulled me in. Also finished Strongest Man Kurosawa, and it was inspiring! I want to read the sequel now, but it's not being translated into English anywhere.

Man this franchise seems complicated @_@ Yeah adaptations tend to happen that way :( game adaptations seem especially tough.
So if I'm understanding you right... in order of preference:
Persona 4 (game) > Persona 4 Golden (Game) > Persona 3 (game)> Persona 3 fes (game) > Persona 4 the animation > Persona 4 Golden (if you've played the game)

Jeez 80 chapters = 12 episodes? That seems like too much. And yeah I think the censoring was kinda extreme, also turning the whole screen negative for the violent scenes haha. But I guess it's what had to be done to air the show. That's too bad about the break, but I guess it's better to take a break for the sake of maintaining quality than churning out something that doesn't do justice to the source material. I just started Jojo the other day, watched a couple episodes of the 2012 anime series on my 14 hour trip :P.

Er wait I just realized you're in France. I'm in the US, by college I meant university (after high school) but by college do you mean like high school? (in the US the order is usually Primary school(grades 1-5)>Middle School (6-8)>High school (9-12)>Higher Education (college, university, etc)) Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, I don't remember much about the French education system (Took French in middle school and learned a little about that)

Oh yeah I really like OPs too! I checked out Spyair and couldn't really get into them overall though, it's more like I like a few of their songs a lot. What did you think of the plot twists after episode 7? A lot of people drop sometime around that time. Also, any opinions about the overall themes and execution? I think this is one of those situations where Poe's Law applies.

That manga sounds really interesting, I'll be sure to check it out. Would you say that it's a good manga to read if you're feeling down or undermotivated?

Honestly I haven't been reading many new things lately which is unusual. I guess the most recent standouts have been Kokou no Hito and the No. 6 novel.

As far as anime goes, I'm trying to keep up with quite a bit this season and kind of succeeding. As for older stuff, I've been very slowly progressing through Shinsekai Yori and would definitely recommend it. It feels like a novel, which is appropriate given that it was adapted from one.
I see that you're watching Persona 4, would you recommend it to someone with no experience with the franchise? My friends have been bugging me to get involved with it for a while and I'm not sure where to start.

Oh also can I ask where you watched Shiki? I've been trying to find Elysium subs' version but can't :(

Oh good to hear! Just saw and replied to your message by the way :) Haha my review of it was perhaps a little dry. (Maybe I tried too hard to stick to the MAL Review Guidelines.) I see you made it past episode 7, most people drop at that point. I'm interested to know your final impression of it.
