I wish for a remake of Berserk some days. *_* But the manga is still on hiatus. I wonder if it will even end one day.
Damn I watch a lot of seasonnal anime at the moment but I didn't finish even one since the new year I think haha. Are you watching something interesting at the moment? What do you think about the controversy with Ishuzoku Reviewers? lol

I think it's because the first season. If you don't really feel the first season the second might not have the impact you hope for. During season one they try and make you feel a connection to the characters, with Tomoya and Nagisa as main ones. If you don't really feel a connection to them after season 1, I can imagine, you don't really feel season 2 as much. Shame, but it might just not be a good fit for you.

I had the same things with Your Lie in April, it was very sad, but I didn't feel the connection needed and didn't cry, while I cry or tear-up pretty easily watching anime. Even Boku no Hero Academia made me teary at points, for a different reason though then Clannad.

What did you friend think about it?

I try to judge an anime as a whole, well most of the time, but same. For me the animation is so important. I like the setting in Dorohedoro but everytime I watch it I can't help but notice the CGI. It makes the characters look so stiff at times and slow, like they're strugling to move in water or something haha. :D
And if it wasn't CGI maybe the new Berserk would have look better. :'(

Yeah the ending is most interesting, although I like the first season overal. Well the second has more impact, so I'll go with the second. The first season lays a very good foundation for the second one, it basically rolls out the red carpet for the second season to shine imo.

Well you are done with season 1, what did you think about it as a whole? :o
I think anime's like Attack on Titan and Boku no Hero Academia had me hooked from the start, but they also have points where it's a little less interesting. I doubt there is a anime the keeps you hooked from start to end.
Well anyway I hope season 2 will be more to you and your friends liking. ^^

Is it the story or maybe the characters you don't like that much in Clannad?
I started to watch so many seasonal anime and I manage but when I saw my list I was startled. I didn't realise I was watching that many anime this season. X) And I ended up watching a CGI anime by accident even if I normally avoid those haha. What do you think about CGI in anime in general?

Aha I see. That was indeed a good arc. Kotomi is a very lovely and good character.

I can understand that, the first season is a bit on the slow side. I really liked it, but I understand some might find it a bit boring or less interesting. I hope you'll continue with it, season 2 is often far more liked by people.

Yeah it's my favorite well the whole picture that is, season 1 and 2. ^^

Let's say I didn't mind it that much but I can understand why people were disappointed to be honest. The thing is that I was spoiled about the teacher. But he was acting so nice that I actually wondered if the spoiler was wrong or something. It really came out of nowhere. But that wasn't the most disapointing ending I watched. I'm still salty about Umineko. It wasn't even a true ending too. :p I'm so happy that there's a new Higurashi project but Umineko deserve a remake or a sequel! :'(

Well they gave you high expectations, I hope Clannad can live up to them. ^^
I really wonder what you will think of season 1, even more as the after story actually.
It is fun to watch with a friend, has he/she seen it already or also first time?

Yeah I believe they where giving little clues about the others remembering small parts of what happend.

I saw it during September last year. I've seen the movie and that one is worth watching, if you liked the anime. I haven't seen anything else, I think you mean Steins;Gate 0, I've heard so many mixed opinions on it, that I decided not that watch it at the moment.

Agreed, it was very cool, also the guess about the father of part-time soldier (I though it was Okabe) and of course all the timelimes going trough eachother, with John Titor and such. In the end it also had a good message, that time travel only leads to misery.
