This review focuses on the entire series in a honest and constructive manner.

But where exactly did it all go wrong? Maybe when Eren was revealed to be a titan? During the battle of Wall Rose? Post-timeskip content maybe? The correct answer is all of these.

Attack on Titan was never really skilled at its writing, the characters are hideous with often lacklustre development. I won't deny the potential of creating memorable characters who might be remembered in history for who they are, but instead the only reason they're popular is their origin. Not to mention the bland collection of tropes and inconsistent themes and constant ... plot holes in each story arc, it's absolutely boring to watch.

It's hard to describe how terrible the story is, but what doesn't help is how the story unfolds. Attack on Titan doesn't want to tell a story consistently, instead choosing to constantly jump between story arcs. The long paths of history revolve around the local geopolitics within the walls of Maria, Rose or whatever it is called. So why aren't we talking about a coherent political ideology? Let's go back and talk about the coup arc with the incredibly superficial villains the story focuses on, but with barely any meaningful characterization other than making the audience see them as villains. In any case, the representation of politics is boring in the way it describes conflicts without any real nuance. Attack on Titan stretches this part of the story so sparsely to the point where it is a long thread with a length of several miles.
For example, secondary characters can suddenly be transformed into main characters in one or two episodes. Gabi, Reiner, Historia, Levi are examples. This takes away the charm of the main characters because not only is the conflict boring, but you don't have enough time to really get to know the character. Which is funny because in the last season it's not like that anymore, but now it suffers from a poor pace.

Back to the current season. The main reason why the majority is more critical of the last season is precisely its fast pace. Subplots are introduced and then recklessly abandoned, and low-character characters are suddenly introduced to be left out later, even though their presence is an integral part of the story. Eren undergoes a massive off-screen personality change and becomes a master of anxiety, and while his actions make sense, they're still heartbreaking. Not to mention the comedic dialogue that is rife throughout Attack on Titan and shows a lack of comic understanding of how people actually react. Eren for example serves a narrative purpose that will be explored later in the story, and it leads to a lot of incredibly stupid dialogue with characters literally screaming information or feelings toward each other.

Another problem is the mischaracterization of the main characters outside the boundaries of the story. For example, one might expect the show to be an opportunity for the characters to constantly talk to each other or just speak naturally, right? No... instead, we get several scenes where the show is too dry and lacking in character or style, flashbacks that tell us, oh look, the characters have known and cared for each other forever, which justifies their sudden connection to the story and their emotional engagement which is exactly what happened with Historia and Ymir. If you take the three childhood friends Eren, Mikasa and Armin for example you can feel the lack of any real chemistry between the trio. We have heard so many times how their relationship is stronger than steel even though we have never seen any evidence of it.

Now I think it's pretty clear how I feel about the story and its characters, but I am not done yet. Because writing takes an absolute plunge right into the deepest part of hell. Do you remember Marco? I won't judge you if you don't. He's one of many characters whose death is treated as a great tragedy, but the context behind his death is revealed later in the series, this negates any emotional investment due to his limited presence. Sasha is killed, gets a retrospective flashback in a comic book scene, and is constantly mentioned, but the only traits that define her are her eating habits and saving a village at the beginning of the story. Levi goes from a main character to a supporting character for most of the story. Historia is pregnant by choice to support Eren's plans, but first she had a love interest in Ymir, as we skip to the finale where she is now raising a baby and happily getting married off-screen, leaving her story arc unfinished. arc of the coup and a complete disaster in every imaginable way.

In my opinion, Eren Yeager is the most intriguing character in Attack on Titan. Formerly a child who despised evil, Eren has become the very monster he once despised by committing genocide. He schemed to make the world a better place for his comrades. For his terrorist attack on Marley hinged using a child to transmit endorse letters to his comrades, starting the conflict for Eldia's independence. However, Marley is portrayed as this murderous dictatorship in which Eldians are also apprehended for they inform the police that their parents are state threats. The police are too ignorant to need to do any checks of the messages. This kind of failed attempt of writing really pulls the series back so much in the end, and the final two episodes are so absurd and idiotic you can't help but laugh at its stupidity. As a result of Eren's death, the Eldian people will be free of persecution in their homeland. Eren did not only destroy the environment, but also vast areas of the world. His death is glorified because he did it for his friends. What a load of bullshit.

TDLR: As a whole, Attack on Titan is simply an absolute disaster, whose decent ideas are sadly overshadowed by horrible execution, a bland cast of characters, terrible and nonsensical theming, horrible pacing and an abysmal ending. Undoubtedly, this is one of the largest trainwrecks in anime history.

Being left all alone, abandoned and not even knowing if the person is still alive can be frightening for anyone especially if that someone is one you love wholeheartedly.

Undercurrent is about an espoused couple who owns a bathhouse together and lives jubilantly. But one day the husband vanishes without any trace, without any last message. He's gone... but where is he? This manga does an a good job with describing the emotions one can feel or in this situation the wife and the phrenic conception process one can posses when faces in this situation. Is he fed up with me? Am I not ... good enough? Did I do something to insult him? Is he meeting with another woman? Is he even alive? Did he get in an accident? You clearly tell just how devastated the wife genuinely is. But, deep down in her heart she wants to know the truth which basically is the story. She hires a detective who searches for clues and information while she waits and continues taking care of the bathhouse she owns.

The protagonist is a green-haired, always-genial, and scarcely ingenuous gynoid-denominated Alpha who runs a coffee shop while waiting for her owner to return. She infrequently gets customers at the start of the OVA, but everyone who meets her relishes her due to her outgoing and cordial personality. She’s simply a nice person, without any malevolence at all.

As far as my enjoyment goes, there are a few ways to describe the atmosphere: serene, bittersweet, nostalgic, poetic, explorative, joyous, even inscrutable. There are only two major events and these are weather-cognate. The rest of the time it’s the minuscule moments that are in the spotlight, much ... homogeneous to a diary or an impressionistic painting. The inclusion of a camera, specially designed for robots, that avails Alpha to relive the moments she shoots, contributes to the immersion of the viewer in the mundane and underlines the feelings engendered from the passage of time.

The reputation is well-deserved and should be viewed if the time is available. I can recommend taking a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy because this experience will be relaxing.

A series deeply set in psychology that illustrates the importance of personalized and adaptive care instead of systematic approaches on patient treatment, while presented in a comedic manner to keep you engaged. If I had to describe this show it would be as "surreal" or as an "insane, crazy, mind-trip" and that's largely to do with its art direction. It's an interesting culmination of traditional-style anime with lots of vibrant colors, real-life people and beautiful backgrounds to some extent. The use of real people is definitely a turn-off but it doesn't really affect the overall product.

While seemingly featuring a ton of visual metaphors and is ... fairly heavy on symbolism, it doesn't use its symbolism as a crutch to make sense but it certainly adds a lot of content to the show. Every character is very engaging, sympathizable, and most importantly, human. The patients are all very realistic. My only gripe with the series, however small this is in all honesty, is the way in which Irabu reaches a conclusion on someone’s illness. You get the full explanation of the symptoms, which will in fact ‘fit’ into a category that suggests a mental illness, yet no further queries are made. This is infuriating because you optate to ken in full detail what the cause is and the congruous medicational remedy.

However, it doesn't shake off being formulaic, a quandary most episodic shows have. However, it manages to be incredibly engaging despite that with it's amusing narrative and art direction, solid comedy, realistic characters, great use of metaphors and proper execution of its themes.

This season is basically a build-up for the sequel. Throughout the span of 13 episodes, the introduction of the cast has been introduced as well as a clear goal. To reach the nationals together as a group and not individuals playing the very distinct instrument called Koto. Every club member has regrets and wants to change their current life and to do something memorable to prove others wrong. I don't want to go into detail describing each characters personality and the reason why they're in the club. Since I think the charm is getting to know them and seeing their resolve is one of ... the best aspects of this Anime. Seeing the improvements of each members quality to perform with the Kato has been breathtaking and really enjoyable. I can't remember the last time I was completely out of words and had chills all over my body and to think this will only get better and better is something so exciting to see. All in all, there is not too much to really talk about without going into spoiler territory. If you like music and see others pursuing their goals, and you might even find inspiration for yourself. Then this is the Anime for you.

Crest of the Stars is one of the best sci-fi series that I have ever watched and I will try my best to formulate my opinions in a simplistic manner. Having said that let's not dwell too much about the synopsis and get straight into the review.

Crest of the Stars does nothing short of an outrageously amazing job of depicting a space-age saga without ever losing its way. In the first episode, everything gets very clear that this is heavily influenced by imperialism. You get thrown into this not world but a galaxy of endless possibilities of places to discover and inhabit. With the ... introduction of Linto one of two main characters who is the heir of the human empire. He's thrown into the life of Abh nobility which is the most powerful empire in the entire universe. Abhs are best described as humans without flaws. In every single practical sense, they're superior and overall better and stronger than any human could possibly wish for, which is the cause of their dominance. But back to Linto. After the human empire's leader basically betrays his own people for his personal gain, Linto's role changed very quickly. He's no longer seen as the heir/prince but instead a betrayer. Linto later get's ordered to moderate Lafiel, the princess of the Abhs. Ironically, she becomes a good friend with Linto because he doesn't just see her as a princess but instead as a being of equal status and rank. That's a short introduction to the series and the two main characters.
I can talk about this much longer but the review would be too lenghty.

Moving on to the art. Crest of the Stars first aired in 1999 created by studio Sunrise. It's definitely not their best work in terms of visually pleasing animation. However, I think the old-school drawing style fits the aesthetic of the show quite well. The actual style is somewhat unique and nothing feels lazily done. Not to mention the amazing battle scenes in space, looks absolutely gorgeous.

The sound is out of this world. The intro theme is magnificent and invokes all kinds of feelings when you listen to it. It sets the scene and helps with the general dark tone of the show. But what I am most impressed with is the creation of a completely new language to represent the Abhs. The voice acting is average across the board but does the job. There is a dubbed version which you should avoid at all costs.

Having no expectation and knowing nothing about the series and the story before. I can definitely recommend this to anyone who likes sci-fi. The progress of the relationship between Jinto and Lafiel feels natural and the world-building is one of the best I have seen from this medium. While writing this I suddenly realized something very important that didn't think of during my initial watch. There is absolutely no character from the enemy army. This furthers adds to the imperialism part where the true villains of the story are the Abhs. You feel emotionally attached to the Abhs and you see the humans as inferior and bad people. When things should be the other way around. Please watch it. It's one of a kind and definitely worth investing your time into.

Degenerates unite! A new generic harem ecchi has arrived! A show where nudity exposure carries the show all on its own.

If you're looking for an interesting plot this is not the show for you. This is all about getting the main protagonist which is a child if I may add into compromising positions with the beautiful voluptuous girls at the Goddess Dormitory.

But is Megami-ryou no Ryoubo-kun terrible? No, in fact, it looks okay, the cast is actually pretty decent and Koushi is a reasonably good lead when considering the context. The ecchi scenes are outright laughable, they make no sense whatsoever but ultimately provide ... a scenario where the girls can shine.

But if you're like me and are kind of bored of anime because of the same generic shows being reproduced with different names. Well, this is the show for you where you can turn off your brain and have a great time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The story of Great Rimuru-sama continues. Everyone planning to watch this season should already be familiar with the story and what has already occurred. Don't read further unless you've watched previous seasons.

But I'll show my kindness and give ya'll a short summarization. The second part of season two starts immediately where the first part ended. Rimuru is on a quest to get revenge for the attack that happened in the previous part.
(You know, where a lot of villagers got "killed" and immediately resurrected because it's an unforgivable act to let characters die, according to the author.)

However back to the genuine "review" if you could ... even call it that, since the season is nowhere near finished at the point of writing this.
But I actually enjoyed the first season, but I have to be honest and say it's really been a downfall for the series as a whole. When the story changed focus from trying to build up a village and its people. To instead switch the focus on becoming just another overpowered isekai protagonist with a personification of mashed potatoes endeavoring to be an edgelord, to preserve its poor people in an act of revenge.

I can more or less guarantee that this season will be more heavily fixated on the action and the rivalries among the demon lords. It is safe to surmise more demon lords will get introduced and we'll learn more about them.

Well, it's too early to really tell if it will succeed or not, however. I'm starting to lose patience as I think the pacing has been really awful since the start of the season. But only time could tell if any of the problems I have with the show will get solved or complete the opposite and end as another generic isekai that didn't live up to its expectations.

Do I recommend this season? Well, if you didn't like the first two seasons then I think this is the time to drop the series. But if you enjoyed the previous installments you should give it a try and watch it for yourself and form your own opinion.

Jouran: The Princess of Snow and Blood is an anime original made by studio Bakken Record. Jouran is set in 1931, known for one of Japan's most infamous and fraught eras. We follow a cast of assassins who carry out tasks for a peculiar agency. However, there is more than meets the eye and it gives the impression that the cast is complex with their own motivation and goal that forced each individual on the path of assassination. Jouran is not afraid to shrink away from more mature themes such as rape, violence and kidnapping, so be mindful if you can't handle such themes.

But the ... main protagonist of Jouran is a seemingly emotionless and cold female called Yukimura. Yukimura is a mysterious girl, to say the least with many attributes of her identity not revealed until later episodes. She's fueled by revenge from her past struggles and hints of the mysterious "ryumyaku" energy that acts as a source of her powers.

The visuals and tone alone are gorgeous and work very well when it comes to presenting the mysterious, mature, and gritty nature of the story. The fighting sequences are probably the best thing Jouran has going for it with the polished art style and its gorgeous use of color splashes of blue and black. It lends a different sort of mythological element to the fight scenes while enhancing the inhumanity of Yukimura when she transforms into her alternate "form".

While Jouran's story inches towards the more convoluted side which could be a hit or miss. I think it's at least worth recommending to viewers who like grim historical anime with a twist of the supernatural.

Love surely is a strange feeling, and Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui pretty much summarizes it all. The male character Ryou is a 27-year old man with everything imaginable: money, expensive cars, social status, and great looks. But he's missing the most important thing in life, love.

One day after a tough day at his job, he was tired and haven't eaten anything, when in the shopping mall he nearly fainted. However, a girl decided to stop by and help Ryou, this girl is called Ichika, a girl that later turns out to be his high school sister's friend. Ichika helped Ryou and offered ... her own lunch to him. This encounter awoke something within Ryou, a feeling he had never before felt, true love.

When you read the premise and where this Anime starts, you could immediately see the moral wrongs. A relationship between a grown adult and a young high schooler really doesn't fit well together.

And the more episodes that come out, the weirder this Anime turns out to be. Ryou not only harasses Ichika and making her clearly uncomfortable, but he also stalks her, sends her gifts, even when she explicitly tells him to stop, that this is a bother for her, he continues knowing full well what he's doing. But Ryou's not the only person in this anime with a twisted mind. Ryou's sister and Ichika's best friend encourage them to be in a relationship, instead of protecting and telling both this is not an ideal relationship between two individuals. It's illegal, and just in general a terrible example of what a friend and family member should do in a situation like this.

And why and how did this get an adaptation. Why does Japan keep giving attention to shows encouraging these kinds of relationships?
