~No Matter How I Look At It, It's You Guys Fault This Review Is Not Popular!~

But either way it doesn't really matter since this show is here to accommodate for that. On the surface, the Watamote series follows the everyday life of our fellow heroine Tomoko Kuroki as she tries her hardest to become popular with her new high school life. With it, we are presented with everyday situations and how Tomoko deals with these events.

Many factors such as the art and sound help to present these events in a comedic tone. You'll come across many references from anime today and a couple years ... back, and these references serve to emphasize on the theme of being unpopular. In addition, the soundtrack is filled with fun and high-spirited tunes that don't take it self too seriously and presents the mood that Tomoko is currently in. Not only that, but there are surprises to see within this soundtrack which I best should not mention. Furthermore, Kitta, Izumi really shines in her role as Tomoko, she is able to portray a voice that sounds crazy yet desperate but when it comes time for Tomoko to socialize with other characters, Izumi really stands out with her awkwardness.

As you watch this show, many of you will come to realize just how much Tomoko is like us. When I finished watching, I was left asking "Did they make an anime based on my life?"; the show's sense of humor could hit hard at home for many, which would either leave many cringing or leave you laughing at just how much you could relate to it. Tomoko is a dimensional character because of this, you'll feel her pain when things don't go her way or be happy when something good actually happens for her, and some of you may even despise her for the way she acts. But in general, without Tomoko, this show just wouldn't be the same at all. As for the supporting cast, they all fit into the story of Watamote without them feeling out of place. A notable character to highlight would have to Tomoki, he is like the opposite of Tomoko and when those two are together, the situations could get very funny or very painful.

At the heart, this show shouldn't be taken seriously, although many of us have experienced or still are experiencing the type of life that Tomoko has, it is meant to be taken in a humorous fashion, which could put off many. But if you're willing to look past that, then I assure you that Watamote is worth the watch, not every day would you be able to find a show as popular as this, no pun intended.

The Oreimo series has finally reached its end mark, and the journey to get there was quite a peculiar one. For many fans of the Oreimo series, these specials mark the ending of this series through three episodes. In these episodes, we get to witness the decisions that Kyousuke makes towards the many girls in his harem. In these events, the girls give out their confessions to Kyousuke, then he rejects them until he reaches the one true girl. These events would bring many kinds of feelings towards viewers, some may feel pain, anger, or even happy when they see that their favorite girl has ... been rejected or if they won. While some viewers may even feel shock by some of the reactions from the girls.

Aniplex manages to stay consistent with its art throughout these specials, it's still the same from what you recognize in season 2. But with it, they manage to make the many scenes that you'll see in these specials heartwarming, humorous, and even downright menacing. With that, these specials are displayed in a way that you've come to recognize, but some events may surprise you. To assist with that, we have many of the tracks from the second season to help add more emotion through out these final episodes. As you're watching the episodes, you'll come to recognize many of these songs, as they make events such as the finale very heartwarming, and other events very dramatic, and many of the seiyuu that you've come to know and love/hate bring out forth their emotion to help drive these scenes forward.

All the characters that you've come to know and love (or possibly hate) have return to make their final debuts, with the addition of some supporting characters you might not have seen in a while. They help to move the story forward as we reach the final events, and find out which girl has won Kyousuke's heart. Some characters even bring out a side of them that you may have not even seen before, which could some surprise some watchers, but others may have come to expect it. A notable character you would keep your eye on during these specials would have to be Kyousuke, as you observe the choices he makes during these final episodes, you may come to wonder why he made those choices, and this could bring out a huge mix of feelings towards many. But what I know is that after viewing these specials, you'll probably remember Kyousuke as an iconic protagonist, or probably even just a plain idiot.

From my perspective of watching these specials, and the series as a whole, it left me with a lot of mixed feelings. In whole, I enjoyed the series for its otaku nature, and how it was a story of how an older brother helps his litte sister with her eroge obsession, and then later come to be open about it to her friends and other people. As the second season arrived, it became a story of who will conquer the protagonist's heart, and as the series headed towards that direction, my opinions of it were all over the place. I would've scored this series higher, but the ways that the events were enacted left me with a bitter after taste. But when you watch these final episodes, you may have different opinions of how the finale is executed, so I do advise that you watch them. But as for me, this was a pretty odd journey, I enjoyed it somewhat, and I will miss this series, so I present it with a "7", hope you liked the review!
