For all those wondering about the title "Cat Shit One" , it's a reference to "Dog Shit One" which is a nickname for lowerclassman at the West Point Military Academy.
Actually while that may be the original reference, that's not quite the reason. Truthfully, our two-bunny team actually fought in Vietnam, as apart of a manga series called "Apocalypse Meow", to which they belonged to the black ops division. The unit was actually called "Cat Shit One" since, in the manga the Vietnamese were portrayed as cats.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, Dogs=Koreans (in the manga that is)

!@§$% IP blocking.. I'd just ignore it, but the "previous" trailer made me interested in it. I mean it's bunnies in something like Call of Duty (and where are the cats?)

If it's another mindless romp along the lines of 'woo-hoo, watch the brave soldiers do awesome shit and blow up insurgents', it's going straight into the trash bin.
...but these are freaking rabbits. You don't drop a show about rabbits blowing stuff up and awesoming all over the place. You just don't.
So true...
Anyway, episode 1 was great, raw is out, didn't understand all of it, especially the foreword.
To me, it seems much like some 'Brothers in Arms'-theme, like Botasky coming back against Packy's orders to help him out after rescuing the hostages.
Of course, it focusses on Action and Weapons, but that's just natural - that's the setting after all.
Let's see what they do in the next episodes. Can't wait.

I've watched the trailer on another site.... and I don't honestly know what to say. First there's the whole mindfuck aspect of stereotypically cute animals in a violent setting, so I suppose I'll give it some points for managing to make me do several double-takes. The soundtrack doesn't seem half-bad either.
But I doubt they could have chosen a worse setting and general subject material even if they had tried. I was half-expecting the good old US of A to come out with a cartoon extolling 'the virtues of the boys fighting the good fight' and 'the benefits that democracy and bombs bring to an impoverished land', but it seems that Japan, of all places, managed to beat them to the punch.
Now, if this keeps in line with the mindscrew theme and actually evolves into a critique of war for economic and geopolitical interests (which might be the case, since it appears that the action of the manga took place in Vietnam and few would be those who would argue favorably for that disaster), then I would certainly watch it.

Hmmm, anime steaming-- the way of the future?
*laughs* Right, I don't think so, it would make pirating even easier and faster.

Region blocking fail and on Youtube of all places. Not to worry, there'll be torrents within a day of airing and the Japanese producers won't benefit at all from that. At least they managed to stop the dirty international pirates from seeing a free anime on a free streaming... wait, what?
