'Sakamoto Days' Announces Supporting Cast

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Yuuto Suzuki's Sakamoto Days manga announced the supporting cast members and four character promotional videos on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2025.

Shin Asakura: Nobunaga Shimazaki (Baki)
Xiaotang Lu: Ayane Sakura (Boku no Hero Academia)
Aoi Sakamoto: Nao Touyama (Kanojo, Okarishimasu)
Hana Sakamoto: Hina Kino (Buddy Daddies)
Heisuke Mashimo: Ryouta Suzuki (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai)
Pisuke: Miyari Nemoto (Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi)

Masaki Watanabe (Seikaisuru Kado) helms the anime at TMS Entertainment. Taku Kishimoto (Blue Lock) is handling the series composition and You Moriyama (Megalo Box director) is designing the characters.

Suzuki began drawing the action comedy manga as a one-shot, titled Sakamoto, in Jump GIGA in December 2019. The manga began regular serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in November 2020. Shueisha shipped the 17th volume on June 4, while the 18th volume is scheduled to go on sale on August 2.

VIZ Media licensed the manga for release in English in July 2021. The 12th volume went on sale on June 4, and the 13th volume is scheduled to be released on September 3. Shueisha's Manga Plus website and app is also releasing the manga in English.

The only gripe is that Lu never got kind of enough attention. Will be glad if the adaptation fixes this even by a bit, I mean she got a good VA after all lol.

Sakura Ayane is somehow involved in every anime I'm watching recently. I'm not complaining at all though, I love her voice and she's incredibly talented
