'Bartender: Kami no Glass' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, Theme Songs, Second Promo

The official website of the Bartender: Kami no Glass (Bartender: Glass of God) television anime unveiled additional cast, staff, theme songs, a second promotional video, and the key visual (pictured above) on Friday. The new television anime is scheduled to premiere on April 4 at 12:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo.

Takaya Kawasaki is peforming the opening theme "Stardust Memory," and Mone Kamishiraishi is performing the the ending theme "Spica." Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.

Ryouichi Kuraya (Tsugumomo) is directing the television anime at Liber. Mariko Kunisawa (Honzuki no Gekokujou) is handling the series composition. Youichi Ueda (Tenkuu Shinpan) is designing the characters.

The anime adapts Joh Araki and Kenji Nagatomo's slice of life gourmet manga, which serialized in Super Jump magazine from December 2004 to September 2011. The manga then switched to Grand Jump in November 2011 and ended the following month. Shueisha released the 21st and final volume in February 2012.

Palm Studio produced an 11-episode television anime adaptation in Fall 2006.

If it's a remake then it's a pretty odd voice choice for Sasakura. I'd expect a younger voice if they are going to stick to the manga more this time. Shame they decided for a generic, whiny background noise for the opening and ending. The previous one had a pretty catchy and memorable opening. It's surprising to see a remake of such niche series, but I was still expecting something better.

I don't know how to describe it in words, but this show has the same sweet and relaxing tone as many other manga and anime about Tokyo nightlife?

Wonder if it's a remake or a continuation. The first anime changed Sasakura's personality a bit and pretty much dropped the overarching story for a completely episodic style.

Looks good for me. I wonder how much manga chapters they will adapt in the remake. The more, the better, without cutting any important parts surely.
