Manhwa 'A Returner's Magic Should Be Special' Gets TV Anime in 2023

The Aniplex stage at AnimeJapan 2023 announced on Saturday a television anime adaptation of So-nan Yu and Uk-jakga's A Returner's Magic Should Be Special manhwa. The event also revealed the main cast and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.

Voice actor Takuma Terashima (Edens Zero) is starring as Desir Arman.

Yu and Uk-jakga began serializing the action fantasy manhwa on the KakaoPage website in September 2016. The third volume went on sale on February 10.

Tappytoon is publishing the manhwa digitally on their website since June 2020. Yen Press licensed the manhwa in English for physical release in October 2021. The first volume shipped on August 9, with the second volume scheduled to go on sale on April 18.

Synopsis
The world is on the brink of destruction after a devastating ten-year war in the "shadow labyrinth." Desir Herrman is one of the last skilled magicians left standing, but even he is no match for the formidable foe threatening humanity's very existence. Just when he's certain the end has come, he is sent back in time to his early days of studying magic at the prestigious Hebrion Academy! The premise sounds alright but it seems like this is another well known good series based on some of the comments in this thread, so I'll be looking forward to this

It would be awesome to see The Breaker manhwa getting anime. It's one of the best murim manhwa out there.

The day that The Breaker gets an anime is the day where I celebrate for a week straight on this forum lol

It would be awesome to see The Breaker manhwa getting anime. It's one of the best murim manhwa out there.

Lmao I was just talking with a friend about this manwha and about how they started getting adaptations lately and how this was especially deserving.

Nice to see an adaptation upcoming.

That said, fingers crossed for the umpteenth incomplete adaptation.
edit: oh right this has a completed web novel, fingers crossed for a complete adaptation then, 24 episodes would be best for that.

Also, MC having the same VA of Shiroe is absolutely perfect. Most suited VA for a 'best strategist' character
I hope they nail the other voices I have in mind for the other characters (especially crow mask that must be voiced by Tsuda Kenjirou, if you know the character you know he's perfect for him, he would be so good in portraying his constant anger issues xD)
