According to Kodansha, Nashima Keiji's manga "Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san" was announced to get an anime adaptation.

Really? It reminds me more of SnH because it's comedy/SoL and it kinda sounds similar. Mermaid Melody is mahou shoujo anime, doesn't seem to have much in common except mermaids.

well in mermaid melody there was a bit of comedy in some of the episodes beside mahou shougo

Should have figured there was such a thing though considering how much genres mix these days.

Aria is a shounen if you look by magazine. There are many mature series in shounen magazines and many infantile in seinen ones so you need to be careful with demographics labels. But in this case it does look generic.
