I guess I'll be the first review for Luger Code 1951. I actually only chose to read the manga because it's getting an anime adaptation this fall season (2016), and it just caught my interest honestly. I'm actually kind of impressed as well, because if I remember correctly, this was just a contest submission and yet it's pretty good.
Story - The reason this is ranked lowest is purely because the manga is so short, only 3 chapters to be exact. It's basically a story about a war against the Loup-Garou's, which is just another word for wolf people. They can change and males can take

form of humans, while females can change to regular wolfs at night. I enjoyed the little conflict they went through and the intro of the characters nicely. It's very open ended, so it's leaves a lot of room for expanding on the horizon. It's actually one of the main things that worries me about the upcoming anime, because I'll be pretty dissapointed if it spans the entire 3 chapters over the entirety of the anime. Yes the chapters were moderate length, but nowhere near enough to fill 10-12 episodes sufficiently. I'm hoping the anime will expand on it's own story.
Art - I'm not much of a stickler for art, but this looked very pleasing to the eyes and I enjoyed looking at the well induced features it offered. I hope more will come or that the anime does it justice.
Character - This is actually something I quite enjoyed, mainly 2 people. There are 3 main characters introduced in the manga. The male MC Testa, a young genius. Sergeant Rossa, Testa's senior during the operation at hand. Finally we have Yonaga, a Loup-Garou who was captured in order to crack the Loup-Garou's code. Yonaga in particular looks amazing and so well designed, but I guess I might just have a thing for cute wolf girls.
Enjoyment - I guess this is just me being biased in all honesty, but I just love war anime/manga like this. It just catches my interest and I like to read or watch it. I enjoyed the premise and hope the anime contiunes it and doesn't ruin the series but makes it even better.
Overall - Overall I think this was a great read regardless of how short it was. It gives you plenty of room to imagine what you want to happen because of how open it ended. Can't wait for the anime adaptation to air in October, very excited. Will probably post a seperate review for the anime standalone, and will likely refernce this one in it as well lmao. It might be a bad thing, but I have pretty high hopes for this, hoping Aniplex doesn't let me down.
