In order to attain immortality, the Grim Reaper began devouring the souls of people. To gather more souls, he created the Larvae and unleashed them upon the world.
Cyan is a former member of the Argent Cavaliers, an order of holy knights dedicated to eradicating Larvae and founded by the Grim Reaper's sister, Lemuria. Cyan left the Argent Cavaliers in order to hunt down the Grim Reaper with Jade, a descendant of Lemuria, and put an end to the Larvae threat once and for all.
After the first few chapters i got hooked and devoured all 6 volumes in a short time.
Can totally recommend this manga, i think it's not that known and that's a shame because i think it's a gem!
At first you may think it's your standard setting but after a few chapters you will see that the story will develop in a way you wouldn't expect. Also the pace is great, not too rushed but it's also not too slow.
The art is really great! The diversity of the characters is what i probably like the most about the art. Also the color pages are
I think the characters have a good & steady character development and interact really harmonious. Also as mentioned above are the characters diverse, not only in their appearance but also when it comes to their characteristics.
Once i started reading i couldn't stop until there was nothing left to read, because it was such a good read!
Manga starts after the prologue when the main character becomes a "zombie" that they call Larvae. Having a strong resolve to protect his beloved mistress he keep his consciousness and start fighting the evil to make her life and the lives of ordinary people better. At the beginning the manga isn't that great when it comes to story and characters (Although the art is beautiful) but after some chapters when the story develops further it becomes more and more interesting till the end which i consider as really good. I recommend this manga to all the people who enjoy fantasy with humor, sometimes tragedy and
a little romance.
I love stories about Knights, and the manga also has a "religion-ish" touch to it which makes it incredibly hooking at first-glance.
The manga is great at the beginning, in the middle it gets a little bit boring but nothing that would make me bother with, and as the story gets closer to the end, it gets even better, i really love the ending.
It's a great manga, that's for sure, the only reason i don't give it a solid 10 is because of the art and a few things from the story which could be better.
The story is good, it involves Monsters, the Knight's
pride and duty, Royalty, but what makes it great has to be the development, which is incredible, i initially thought i wouldn't like this manga but oh boy was i wrong, i love how the author made sure to explain everyone's backstory and give them a proper "will", which makes me feel that every single support character is alive and isn't just a piece of chess working on the table to prepare the plot.
Not great, but not bad, just good, the art isn't a breath-taking masterpiece, don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, it's actually better than what i was expecting, it's just that it could be better.
Character Development: 9
As i said up above, the overall development is great, you can clearly see the HUGE difference between the characters as the story passes through.
A very good manga with great story build-up, characters, and just the right amount of words.
The author did a very good job of creating drama and conflicts from which the characters must overcome.
There wasn't any pointless dialogue that kept dragging on and there was enough to create close bonds between the main characters and others.
I really enjoyed how the author used a right amount of flashbacks to create exposition of the characters.
I had a good bittersweet feeling as I finished the last chapter.
I would say it was worth my time to binge read all the way till the end.
Overall, definitely a
must read for a good story.
