Parallel is an average boy meets girl, Romantic Comedy and they somehow end up living together. Pretty simple but it works well with the story. This is a decent Rom/Com and even though it's incredibly similar to it's successor Pastel the story never feels dragged on. Although with this being such a short manga it is easy to finish this, leaving you with an empty feeling inside, from not being completely satisfied.

The artwork is really average, just like this manga and even with poorly drawn male characters at least the girls look good. The characters are the typical batch you'll find in these sort of ... romance manga but that's a good thing because they are so likable.

Of course being a typical shounen romance it's packed full off Japanese puns and cliches but at least the male protagonist character isn't so submissive, it's just the female protagonist that can get quite annoying. One trend this Rom/Com follows is how slowly the relationship develops and even though this is a short the manga the chapters are pretty long, which gives it that slow feel.

Parallel can be considered a typical story about a boy and a girl living together in one roof. There are not many animes/mangas that do this theme well. Even though they are not many producers that make this theme, I am please to say that the producers did a good job in Parallel

Story:
The story becomes very intriguing in the start of the manga, however as the manga develops on, it starts to throw random scenes into the manga. This however could be a bad thing for some readers, but in this case, it worked well. The character development, which I will go into detail later, ... slowly progresses throughout the story, and the main character Nekota sometimes gets himself into tight situations. One major disappointment of the storyline is the length, I would have wish for more chapters to further more develop the characters and the story.

Art:
The art is quite typical for a normal shounen manga, there’s nothing too interesting about the art. But it is easy to follow and easy on the eyes. The characters look great, no question about that but some of the male characters look dodgy as mentioned by Master_M2K but nevertheless the art is still pleasing to read.

Character:
You can expect the characters to be very typical and predictable. The main character as mentioned above gets stuck into awkward moments with the female protagonist. This can be fairly funny at times, but when it happens too many times, it just gets repetitive. The characters develop slowly in the manga;where a potential brother falls in love with his 'potential' sister. There are more characters in the manga which gives the manga a comedy element to laugh upon.

Enjoyment:
This short, yet funny manga is really easy to read. Most of it can be predictable but you can still read the funny moments in the manga. I really enjoyed the manga and I bet you will too.

Overall:
Overall this manga will make you craving for more, even when there is no more, and it will make you intrigued throughout the manga.

Parallel is a wonderful short manga that has served its purpose to me, and that was to act as a short pause in between longer running series. It was the right kind of length and not complicated at all to confuse or irritate. The only seriously noticeable flaw about this manga is that it has a last chapter that is completely out of place. The chapter itself is good, but it’s just out of place because the events portrayed in it take place before the story ends at chapter 19.

This manga is normal, but you can't stop reading it, it holds you up a lot ...
About the story, it's a bit of a controversial topic, but I like that kind of thing kkkkkkk
About the characters, Nekota is a common perverted protagonist, but his differential is to stay true to his passion, even though I think he could be fine with any of the girls ...
Hoshino is a classic tsundere, always refusing his desire for Nekota ... I love tsunderes, but particularly, I didn't get too attached to Hoshino, I got too attached to Nekota's childhood friend, but ok
My final considerations are: the manga is ... very good, it has a well-made art, the story, despite being common, holds the reader, I recommend reading them when they have nothing else to read or if they enjoy the genre

This manga like many other romcoms of its type is good simply in that the relationship between the main couple is cute. The plot moves at a good pace and the central mechanic of them living together as siblings and everything that entails is used well enough to keep things interesting. There are a lot of nice moments between the hero and heroine as they slowly get closer. The side characters are fine for what they are and how they push the main couple, though they aren't used that much beyond that and most never really get their own endings. The ending for the main couple was quite good ... though, where it ended up going really fast at the end but still managed to do everything it needed to do. The comedy was also solid enough and helped with the pacing and keeping up the light-hearted atmosphere. The art was also quite good with a lot of good shots. 

tl;dr: A well written and well illustrated short series about adolescent romance.
