Characters: I actually want to murder most of these characters, especially the dad and the boyfriend. 10/10
Enjoyment: Pain, absolute torture. I want to have never read it. 10/10
Overall: I hate everybody that suggested I read this, I wish I had never existed after reading this. Definitely would read again if Shindo L made the Josuke ending offical. Shindo L definitely has talent in writing stories that affect its readers, and I look forward to reading more of his works in the future. 10/10

So, i really can't express how much i hated and loved this manga tbh, so let's start. The girl in the beginning starts off as a normal middle school girl, you know nerdy style, barely talks to people of her age, and you know the rest.
After graduating, she finally decides to change herself to see if she can make any friends, and she does that by asking her mom for advice, and OH BOY was that the worst idea that she could've ever think off. I never thought a Hentai manga would make me cry in the end. It shows how cruel and unfair the world can be. The MC Sakura didn't have a atleast a single decent adult to show her the right path and be there for her. Not even her mother. A girl who just want attention ends up choosing the wrong path and gets tortured and raped without knowing what's that she is doing wrong. It's really heartbreaking.
Even though the story is thought provoking after all it's just porn with great exaggeration and sexualisation of the characters that makes some of the readers feel disgusted.

Been a while since I wrote a review and mostly on anime adaptations. It's my first time writing a review on a manga/doujinshi and it's a hentai at that.
Okay so let's get this started. Story: well, to be more accurate, it's too realistic for my taste. It's good tho, but it will leave some bitterness afterwards. Art: it was fine. This was very hard to read and it has a very powerful story/message. Some people can relate to this and it's very realistic which makes it hard for people that are trying to jerk off to this. The only reason I came to read this Doujin was because of one of my favorite youtubers, Akidearest, put it on her otaku monthly favorites and she said that story was very dark and depressing and coming here I read a lot of the reviews and them saying that's good or bad and for me personally I thought this was one of those doujins that made me more interested in the story than the actual sex scenes displayed

I've always been told that it is impossible for hentai to make you cry..but this one definitely got me. Fuck, I've reread the last chapter multiple times and it always gets me. It's not that Saki didn't deserve it, but she didn't mean for it to happen - it wasn't what she hoped for. She simply wanted to be an adult like every other teenager. If you choose to read this, by the third or fourth chapter you'll find yourself using the tissues for something else. An interesting factoid about Henshin is its two English titles. The title it first appeared under in fan translations online, "Emergence", was declared a mistranslation by the original author. The author stated that the title is meant to be "Metamorphosis", as a reference to the Franz Kafka novella in which a man transforms into a giant insect. (As such, this is the title that Fakku used for their release.)
"Metamorphosis" is a much more appropriate title for this manga than "Emergence". In fact, the themes represented in this manga go against the main definition of the word 'emergence' - "the process of coming into view or ...

When you read or watch hentai (as well as real porn) you never care about the story. You are there just for the sex (and sometimes the ridiculous and bizarre situations), which is why the authors never bother writing a coherent plot, they just try to make an excuse to make the characters have sex with each other.
Nobody expects a good or interesting plot when they are about to read a hentai manga, that genre just isn't meant for that... but once you experience Emergence (or Henshin in japanese), that entire idea begins to blur. I don't have much to say about Emergence that ...

Henshin, also known as Emergence and Metamorphosis, was quite... interesting as it was the first of this genre I have ever read. It was definitely a ‘feel bad for Saki’ sob story and even so, I ended up feeling a great amount of pity for her. She was naive and uneducated on how manipulative people can be. I felt a ping of pain in my heart when she thought she had fallen in love and how she mistook that pleasure=love. In the end I was reasonably sad and genuinely disturbed ...

A warning before you give Henshin (AKA Emergence or Metamorphosis) a read, it is R-18 of course, but also really depressing.
(side note the overall rating is rounded up from my actual score). I'll start with the story, while the story is really depressing it had a very realistic feel (like it could and probably has actually happened) which gave me a very strong sense of immersion and added to the sympathy I felt for the protagonist (I'll talk more about that later). the sex scenes felt like they supported the story rather than being the main element, and the plot devices felt like they had meaning ...

Where do I begin? I had herd of this before I read it and had herd mixed opinions so I was sceptical.
Having read this I can safely say this has left a lasting impression on me.
