EDIT: I just reread this manga for about the fourth time, and reading my original review made me realize I didn't give it the justice it deserves (and I never will be able to because I don't have that ultimate power). This series is one of the most beautiful and pure romance manga I have ever read.

You might say I'm crazy for giving this series a perfect score, a ten, but trust me when I say this series deservers even more. Could you imagine not wanting to touch the one you care about because you're scared you'll only do harm? Could you imagine knowing ... you will live while your loved one will eventually die? Could you imagine falling for someone you shouldn't have?

Hana to Akuma tells the tale of Vivi and Hana, a demon and a human. Vivi finds Hana alone in the snow as a baby and decides to take care of her "to pass the time". What Vivi didn't plan to do was become so attached to her. Throughout the entire manga you see their love for each other grow. They face obstacles in their journey, some trivial and simple, and other serious and life changing. One obstacle Vivi must face personally is a human boy fancying Hana, something I particularly enjoyed very much. A demon king also comes between the two, even going so far as to make Hana do something that results her experience pian in order to save Vivi's life.

The first couple chapters of Hana to Akuma are sweet and short one-shot like chapters that start to give you a taste of the relationship between Vivi and Hana. As the series moves on their relationship deepens and I know you will begin to understand why this series deserves a ten.

Hana to Akuma is full of sweet moments between the Viva and Hana, as well as very funny and witty comments exchanged from Vivi and his fellow demon friend Felton. True shoujo fans will not be disappointed by Hana to Akuma at all, and I believe those who just like a little bit of romance every now and then will find this to be worth their time.

And come on, have you seen Vivi? :D

ORIGINAL: Many people might see Hana to Akuma as your typical shoujo manga. However, I happen to enjoy this series very much. Granted the plot and story take a while to develop, but right now the manga is progressing fairly well. A big twist has just been revealed and I'm dying to know the ending.

The art of the manga isn't so bad either. I think the way the author draws Vivi at his different emotions really shows what kind of person he is. Hana is captured as a pure innocent happy-go-lucky girl. All the other character's appearances really do exemplify their nature.

The characters themselves are alright. Of course Hana and Vivi are my favorite because they are the lead roles. The other characters do have a chance to go through character development in the series, but sometimes I do get annoyed when they are dedicated a whole entire chapter. One of the hardest things to do in anime and manga is developing characters without over shadowing the main leads. Hana to Akuma is 'good' in developing characters, because I have seen worse.

Overall, this is one of my favorite manga series. I'm a shoujo fangirl period, and I feel like this manga shows a lot of shoujo characteristics. Vivi always ends up saving Hana. Hana yearns for Vivi, and later on he does too. Vivi tries do deny his feelings, as does Hana. They both get jealous when the other is with the opposite sex.. . and so on.

I recommend this manga to anyone who'd like to get a taste of shouja manga. It's a good way to start. Also, Vivi isn't half that bad XD

I really enjoyed this manga. It was very bittersweet, and was probably one of the best shoujos I've ever read. The art style took some getting use to, but I learned to really appreciate it over time.

Story:
It was a beautiful, bittersweet story. A demon comes to earth and raises an abandoned human child, and as she grows up they both really start to adore each other. The manga is about them overcoming their challenges to be together, and yes, while it was a romantic manga, the bond is very sweet, and goes beyond the typical shoujo relationship.

Art:
Like I said, I wasn't ... really in to the art at first, but I learned to appreciate it as it was. And it's not like it was bad, the mangaka's style was just a little bit different than most.

Character:
The characters really grew on me; Hana seemed like your typical shoujo lead, but she really wasn't. I really loved her, and she was a good protagonist for this kind of light-hearted manga. There was very minimal character growth in Hana, but that doesn't mean she was a bad character. The character growth was more in Vivi, as he learned to accept Hana for what she is and how to treat her.

Enjoyment:
I really, really loved this manga. I recommend it to anyone. It's a little sad, but it's very cute. I wasn't prepared for it to end, but everything has to end sometime.


Overall, you should probably go check out Hana to Akuma. I've been reading it since the very beginning, and I'm glad I stuck with it. It was really touching.

Hana to Akuma (or Flower and Devil, for those who prefer) dosn't stray much from the safty of a formulated manga. Having said this, I still like it. Not as much as many of my manga tops but it's very readble but I don't ache for the next chapter with my entire heart. Nor does it make me excited when the main romance is shown.

Story:
Fairly basic one character trying to belong where she does not and vice versa. There are many manga which have pulled this off admirably well, for instance Ouran Highshool Host Club and Special A, both manga/anime where a 'poor' girl is ... thrown into a rich world (one slightly more belivable than the other, only slightly). Hana to Akuma however concerns the human and demon world. While this is a common mix, Hana to Akuma seems a bit too common. The ideas, themes, basic structure for the entire of the two worlds seems a little too basic, it's almost as if the writer/artist chose the two settings for the sake of custome, which there is no end to.

The plot also follows the basics of all shoujo manga that hits big, but not that big. The same 'steps' if you will. But what bothers me most is the length of these 'steps' or sagas. Some last up to only a chapter! I would except this sort of short lived sagas for fillers, jokes even, but even the most serious of eras finds it's self cut short by two chapters.

Art:
Basic, sometimes flat. Alot of the time the artist seems to have no idea of dimensions, nor do the characters faces match emotion. The eyes have hardly any emotion to them where there should be nothing but. I also found it hard as to where specific characters where aiming their speech at, unless directly facing the other with their full body.

Character:
Again, basic. Main girl is somewhat ditzy, new to love, hits all sorts of pitfalls that her stupid smile seems to get through, simeply because logic fails her. The main guy is cool, aloof and nearly perfect. Elenor is your local snob, I could go on but you get the idea. All formulated characters.

Overall, I enjoy hana to akuma but there are some blaring problems I just can't miss.

This manga is not for people who want happy end, or deserved happyness. Its abaout the truth of living, and the sadness being immortal.
But the last part is not tru. they are not sad. they are proud they are tresure the time, the memmories.
I think This is the path, that most people can't go. They wanted to change the rules. not accepting the truth. and that is the biggest mistake.
I give a best score because i learn something from this manga, and i will tresure it. Until i die. :)

Story - 10/10
Hana to Akuma was a masterpiece! It was really a thrilling, enjoyable and an exciting manga. I really recommend this to everyone out there who have yet read this. I have read TONS, yes TONS of manga.. but Hana to Akuma was the very best. You will really carve to see the next chapter/page.

Also, let's not forget the title which REALLY fits for this manga - Hana to Akuma.. in other words, The flower and the demon. Somehow, the title 'says' about the love between ... the 2 main characters in this manga.

In each and every chapter and page of this manga, it never, not even one failed any of my expectations. Just base it from the plot, the story is rather unique. I have to admit that I'm obsessed with this, really. What made me love this manga more was the ending. Even I myself can't believe what I just felt at the end. It was a happy-sad ending. Everytime I read the ending, I never failed to cry.

The story teaches us one important lesson.. just trying to keep out from spoilers, I cannot say it. If you're so curious about it, try reading until the very end.:)

One more reason for people to read this is that because Oto-sensei drew all the characters very well.. even the environment. I love how he draw Vivi and Hana. Also, he really draw very well the exact emotion of Vivi. That's what I love more. Can't say more.

I love each and every character personalities in the story. Even the heroine, Hana. You can say that she's quite a stubborn and a naive girl but that's just what makes me like her more. It makes my heart skip a beat when Hana's naive-ness comes out in a romantic situation then Vivi have to do or say something straight just for her to understand.

Hana to Akuma is a manga that can be put under, in my opinion, the romance and supernatural genre. If you like demon x human stories, this one is definitely for you. The art is fantastic, from the characters to the background and everything, it's flawless. If you like mangas with characters of different personalities, hana to akuma offers a wide variety of characters, whether its human or demon, there will be always someone you will adore and like. :D

OVERALL, really good!

Hana to Akuma seems like it has no plot and that it would just be another silly story about a girl and a demon but once you really get into it you can't get out.

I for one am really picky about the quality of a manga's artwork. If it's not good I won't read it. The attention to detail in the clothes and some of the characters like Lucifer is really great.

However, what really makes this story stand out are two very key components named Hana and Vivi. They have made me laugh, cry and scream at the computer screen for the either series. This ... is possibly the only manga that I have every cried at the end of because the ending was beautiful and I was sad that it was over.

This is a great manga for anyone to read no matter what style you prefer!

Story (9/10)

The story is awesome. That's all you need to know. As someone who's interested in shoujo & demon manga, I loved Hana to Akuma. It's really heart-touching, funny, and just...just awesome!

Art: (8/10):

To be honest, I wanted to drop this manga after the first chapter. The artwork wasn't my type and the story didn't seem too interesting, but I decided to push on. And I'm really glad I did. The artwork gets better and better with every chapter, so if it's the art that's putting you off, don't abandon this manga.

Character and Enjoyment (8, 9 respectively):

There were times when some of the characters were ... unrealistic, but let's face it, this is a manga about demons & supernatural stuff. Plus, it's shoujo -- SOMETHING's bound to be unnatural. Anyhow, I admire how Hisamu Oto developed these characters. Things didn't progress too slowly or too quickly. Characters don't just go kissing & falling in love after one chapter. These characters had real problems and real feelings.

Overall (9/10):

Man, man, this has got to be one of my favorite manga. I usually don't cry too much while reading manga, mainly because most of the ones I read are incredibly unrealistic or too cheesy, but this one was...this was has a special place in my heart.

ToT I'm usually skeptical about manga like this because I feel like they're too predictable. I thought that when the Demon King had a party at the end (his birthday party), I assumed he was calling Hana so that he could turn her into a demon. I was kind of expecting Hana and Vivi to live together forever...but man that last chapter proved me wrong. All my feels exploded! I still can't accept that she grew old and had children. But I guess that was the most realistic way to go.

I love fantasy themed stories and Hana to Akuma has been able to give me more than that.

It is not a manga that is too complicated and is too in length in the speeches the characters are given. It is easy to understand and braids together great storyline, good humor and fantasy.

Even the ending (no spoilers, don't worry) is a good one. I must admit though that I had to read it twice to feel this way.

If demons existed, I'd like to be a part of that mansion. XD

I've never read such a funny, heart throbbing story in my entire life (so far ;D)!!... This was with simply just one word beautiful.. It made my heart go "doki-doki!" A LOT!!.. And their relationship is just so sweet... In the end i cried, but not tears of sadness.. No, on the contrary it was tears of joy.. Tears that'll fall because the last chapter is just so magnificent beautiful.. Even though the story involves "akuma's" (demons, which would in many context be considered evil) .. But no, not in this.. This captures the evilness from Vivi (the leading male role ) and converts it ... to sweetness and innocentsness when he's around Hana (Main Role. Also the main female role).. And to any girl with just a little princess like character inside her will be completely captured by their relationships sweetness and pureness..
I'm not a "real girl" (meaning: I'm a tomboy. So i have a typical un-ladylike character)... So I'm not the biggest fan of the romance genre. Or comedy.. But this manga just stroke right through my heart, and i found my ladylike character..The only thing I'll do is to recommend it to you even though this doesn't sound like a manga that'll be the kind of genre you would read. You have to contain a large part of patience to read this. Because it's in chapter 40 I'd say thing begins to really spike up. But while you read the remaining forty chapters to get to chapter 40 you'll fall in love with every role in this Manga. It simply is irresistible.

I don't care what anyone says, this manga deserves 10/10.

It's a supernatural romcom manga that really delivers a precious little story. Hana, a human baby, is abandoned outside Vivi's (a demon) castle and he take her in. The story is centred around Hana being 14 years of age, whilst the demon, still in a handsome 20 year old body is in fact 200. Mishaps arise and love spirals out of control as the two come to terms with their true feelings. Sure, it might seem a bit iffy in terms of the characters ages and it slightly verges on lolicon. But, hey! The mangaka even ... takes the piss out of that, leaving sly digs here and there. The wonderful thing about this story is that it's very light hearted humour and still gives a deep romantic aura. The story pans throughout Hana's whole life and leaves the reader with a sense of loss and, yet, fulfilment (when you read it, you'll understand what i mean).

It's heart-wrenching ending made me sob. Normally when i read this in reviews it puts me off a little, as I hate getting emotionally attached to stories, but this was just so beautifully preserved. You couldn't ask for a more perfect ending for such a beautiful story.

Pretty typical for a shoujo, but incredibly enjoyable nonetheless! I was pulled into this manga and barely stopped reading for hours on end. You can't help but fall in love with Hana's innocence, Vivi's suave and unwavering loyalty to Hana, and in the end, a really nice plot develops.

Art is really nice overall, though sometimes the characters seem to look a little skeletal, or something. But there are some really gorgeous scenes in this manga.

The plot is interesting and full of magic, driven by characters and their often hidden motivations. Lots of mystery. You're also always on tenterhooks about Hana and Vivi - it's obvious ... that they love each other, but when she's young, Vivi doesn't realize it, despite all their adorable moments together. Hana even comes through and isn't the typical little-girl-protected-by-her-man in a lot of places - she's really quite brave, and she does it all out of love.

A really fun manga to read, I promise. Funny and cute and often dramatic.

This has a very interesting story. On the surface it might just look like a typical shojou manga but the plot if far form typical and it is hilarious at the same time.

I have completed this manga and I was disappointed when it was all over. The amount of romance was just right and fitted well into the story line. It is certainly one of my favorite manga's because it includes bits of all genres that make up a perfect romance.
It included some adventure, tragedy, comedy and drama as it made me cry! I would recommend this for anyone who loves supernatural, as it had a great balance of that genre. Although this manga is quite long, each chapter entertains you and I would call this one of the most unique manga's. You won't regret reading ... and rereading it time and time again.
There are a lot of characters with their own personalities which make the manga even more interesting, it would've been a bit better if the main character was shown growing up and how the interactions between her and other characters developed with her age although the child-like appearance did make the story appear more unique. Overall I really enjoyed the balance of all the genres and the art and story line really made this manga worthwhile.

Story is very nice as not everything went all happily-ever-after.There were the ups and downs of the story which made me,the reader alittle emotional.I really loved it.

The art is very good and the quality was there thru all the chapters!

The characters were all unique in their own ways and even the demons were all bishies and bishoujos.

The ending really made my tears stream to my cheeks but they were very very nice and i really like how even though they couldn't be together forever,her heart was still with him and they even had children!!!And spoiler*-The children were bishies :)

I actually came across this manga many times before I decided to read it. The storyline of a girl falling in love with someone like a 'father figure' didn't appeal much to me. One day, I was bored and decided to read it. Let's just say the 'father figure'(Vivi, the one who picked her up) wasn't much as he seemed. It ended with his butler being the one taking care of Hana. So... I guess it's not that repulsive knowing that she fell in love with Vivi.

Story: Great storyline with slow progress but worth waiting as it has it's bit of fluff. There are little ... problems along the story as Hana starts to realise her love for Vivi but there was actually the ending problem/ the biggest one unfolding in the background. It was quite subtle.

Art: The art is simple in form of the background. The characters were really elaborate and different outfits so it's interesting to pause a while and look at its intricate drawings. The smiles in the story are really sweet and not many manga acheive that.

Character: The personality is simple. There's no underlying villian in the hero. Though some characters are a little mysterious in whether they approve of Hana's and Vivi's relationship. But all ends well.

Enjoyment: I was reading really fast, hoping to find out the storyline and yet still paused a while to view their clothing and those sweet scenes, especially their smiles. It's enjoyable whether you want to read it really fast or take your time. I would read it again, possibly one day.

Overall: I would recommend you to read it :) If you're worried about the fact that Hana is falling for a 'father figure' and it's a little repulse by that thought: trust me. Read it and you'll find out that it proceeds at a pace that makes the romance sweet.

P.S Vivi definitely looks older than the picture at Myanimelist.net. It made me misunderstand the story.

I found myself really torn on what to rate Hana to Akuma in this section, why? because the manga has both very positive but very negative things for me to rate it too high or too low and still be fair for the material. I will try to summarize my observations:

-Positive: despite the many flaws, cliche, trivial and contradictory events that happened in the story, it managed to keep me engaged from beginning to end. If you are expecting very intricate and deep developments, this is not your manga. However, the story was entertaining and satisfying. To be honest, I wasn't really ... too interested in this manga from reading the synopsis, but I still gave it a chance out of curiosity...I was pleasantly surprised. The manga is very light and easy to read, had its funny moments that had me laughing out loud as well as heart-wrenching and heart-warming moments. There was never a dull moment and never was I bored/tired with reading. I found it has a good balance between romance, drama, action and silliness. Another positive aspect was the ending. Although the ending was bittersweet and somewhat sad, I found it very realistic and at least we get to know that Hana lived a happy life until its end. I was almost expecting for the characters to find a way to turn Hana into a demon for her to stay "forever and ever" with Vivi, but was glad to see, and actually pay my respects to the author, for showing and playing with the different stages of human life just as they are. The ending kind of doesn't allow me to rate this section lower.

-Negative: I did not understand how Hana and Vivi could be so oblivious to their own feelings. With Hana it could be argued that she was still a child, but Vivi should have enough life experience to be able to know and understand his own feelings.
When I said before I read this manga out of curiosity, I meant I could not imagine how the author was going to handle Vivi and Hana falling in love without me hating the manga. To be honest, I completely agree that this book deals with some cringe worthy degree of pedophelia and incest. I just don't see how these two characters didn't develop a father and daughter or siblings-like type of relationship given that Vivi raised Hana and they have known and engaged with each other in a parent/parentalized child/guardian relationship. To me, Vivi should have seen Hana as his daughter and Hana seen Vivi as a parent. With this being said, there are a couple of things that could be argued as to why they ended up having romantic feelings towards each other: 1. Vivi was a demon, and truth to be told, it would not be fair to expect from or hold to human rules, morals and standards a non human being...specially when demons are supposed to be bad. 2. Hana could have some sort of unresolved Oedipus complex and/or an unhealthy attachment (specially given her also possible abandonment issues). 3. Boundaries were never defined or clear between these two (Hana would sit in Vivi's lap, Hana saw Vivi engage in physical/sexual activities with other people, Hana would walk into Vivi's room and bathroom and get into his bed, etc). 4. Vivi never thought or saw himself as a parent to anyone. 5. The servants did most of the caregiving/parent-like activities for Hana.

I do have a few positive things to say about how this incest/pedophelia was addressed in the manga. The love between Hana and Vivi develops very slowly, without them realizing their feelings until very late in the story (which was a bummer because we don't get to see them actually interact as a couple and see whether it felt awkward or not). It never felt like Vivi was just raising Hana with the objective of having her become his woman, but more like something that simply developed over cotidianity. Vivi even questioned himself about really being in love with Hana and it took him a bit to process and accept this feelings. Their love and feelings were mostly innocent, although Vivi does kiss Hana a lot for no real reason. But truth is, what Hana did with Vivi she could have been doing with Momo, or someone their age, as Vivi didn't really make a move on her beyond occasional kisses. Vivi clearly expressed not to feel attracted to Hana when she was her 14 years old self. And, by the way, for those who get alarmed at a 14 years old being with an adult, if you look at the context, the manga takes place at a time in which it was pretty normal or accustomed for women to get married very young. Whether I agree with this practice or not, is another story, but keep in mind that Vivi and Hana don't get together until she becomes a grown person, which shows some degree of conscience/awareness/respect. All in all, I couldn't bring myself to not like this manga despite this controversial aspect.

Art 9/10
I felt the art, characters designs, facial expressions, reactions and backgrounds were done beautifully. I especially loved Lucifer-sama and his hairstyle.

Characters 7/10
This is definitely the weakest point the manga has, as apart from Vivi and Hana, we don't see a lot of character development for the rest of the cast.
I really enjoyed how carefree Vivi was and found very refreshing how he wasn't ashamed at showing physical affection or his body as Japanese people are usually represented in anime/manga. I also liked how he was never too proud or offended when a misunderstanding with Hana occured. I would have liked to have been given a bit of background on Vivi and the reason why he was not interested in the demon world or becoming a king. In that sense, I would have also liked to see why he was so highly regarded by his kind if he had always shown that detached behavior.
In regards to Hana, I did not like the fact that she cried in all 58.5 chapters. I don't understand how Vivi had to save Hana in all 58.5 chapters. I also found confusing how Hana acted so childish most of the times but seemed to be so mature at other times. I don't think someone raised by demons would be as naive and innocent as Hana. However, I liked Hana and appreciate the fact that she remained a good hearted person no matter what people/demons did to her. I also liked her persistence when she wanted to do something, such as giving flowers to Vivi everyday. I can see why everybody liked her.
My favorite character was probably Lucifer-sama and I think probably every scene in which he was involved ended up being too funny or interesting. Another character that I really liked was Momo. Kuddos to that kid for being very mature for his age and not getting involved in a love triangle. It takes a noble heart to be able to put your feelings aside and wholeheartedly help the person you are interest in be happy, even if it is not with you.

Enjoyment 8/10
As I said before, the manga managed to keep me interested from beginning to end although nothing really surprising happens. There wasn't any arcs or chapter that I felt was boring or unnecessary. I will actually miss this story and I wouldn't have minded a few additional chapters in which we could have seen Hana and Vivi as a couple. It took so much to build Hana and Vivi's love story that having them get together by the end and then fastforwarding to 70+ years ;ater made me feel like I missed out on a lot. The additional chapter made up a bit for this but still...a couple more chapters wouldn't have hurt the manga at all.

Not a life changing manga but something entertaining if you are looking for a light yet interesting read.

Such a beautiful manga! I just got through reading it and I'm about to read it again! this manga is just epic epic epic! I just... there is really no other way to describe it other than a beautifully executed love story between a Demon and his Human :)... or perhaps a human and her demon? XD the choice is yours!

If I could have given this series a higher score than just 10, I would've. I have never written a review on any series before, but Hana to Akuma really impressed me!
I don't think my English is good enough in order for me to fully express just how fantastic I find this manga, which is such a shame, but I will try my best anyway!

What I love the most about Hana to Akuma is the way Vivi's so, so delicate and sweet love for Hana is presented. All his actions revolve around her and yet he dares not touch her in fear of tainting her ... purity. She's the only one he wants to protect, but he also sees himself as a great danger to her. Vivi never planned to get attached to Hana, but somehow it ended up happening and the way he keeps questioning himself and the way he keeps wanting Hana and then pushing her away show us just how confused he is. As for Hana, I was really pleased to witness her development! She slowly becomes more conscious of all these new emotions in her as she grows, and for every obstacles she has to overcome, she becomes more aware of things like responsibility, consideration and fear - which also becomes one of the reasons why she's reluctant to express her real feelings to Vivi. I don't want to reveal too much, so I'll just say, that the love between both main characters develops really naturally which I really like since lots of shoujo mangas tend to have those relationships that just happen too fast, thus making it impossible for me to actually understand it. But this love between Hana and Vivi really has depth. On the surface it seems fragile, as if it could just break any minute, but as the characters develop and I get further into the story, it soon becomes clear just how amazingly strong this love is. Their interaction with each other creates both super funny and sweet incidents but also hearbreakingly sad ones. I laughed, I squealed, I shed a tear or two and I cried my eyes out (well, I AM a little sentimental).

The artwork is absolutely stunning and very expressive, and the mangaka has really managed to show me every single character's feelings through her drawings. I really am amazed. Especially when the character is saying one thing but not meaning it - the "hidden" feelinga are then exposed anyway by the expression of the characters. Maybe I'm just blabbering now, but all in all I LOVE the art!

Since this is my first time doing a review I'm not exactly sure if I have done this right. Please do excuse my lack of order and everything seems to have just come out in one random flow (which it actually has xD).

But for now, this is what I had to say about Hana to Akuma. I bet I will someday read it once again, perceive everything differently and most likely edit this review ^_______^ But for now, I'm happy I got to write down my thoughts regarding this series!

I tried reading this manga a few years ago and dropped it after the first few chapters. Recently, I tried again and I'm so glad I finished it. The reason why I had dropped it previously was probably due to the art which isn't amazing but the story really does make up for it.

Story: Starts off fairly simple, almost boring, but really picks up the pace about a quarter of the way through. I adore how the love triangle isn't really a threat which is something that I love to see in shoujo manga (I despise love triangles) and the second male character values the ... friendship rather than becoming the 'nice guy'. The climax of the story is done so gracefully that you don't even notice it's happening until suddenly you're crying and the manga is over. Few stories have ever made me cry, the ending of Hana to Akuma was one of them. It's a happy ending -but of course Hana is a human. Beautiful story with just enough tension and just enough information to keep you reading.

Art: Honestly, the art is the only thing I can complain about but it's still *good*, it's just not amazing. The proportions can be a little off and sometimes the triangle chins make a return but honestly it's still such a beautiful manga.

Characters: Another shining point for this manga is its characters! Yes - they are based on shoujo tropes and cliches but they grow beyond them very soon and they all have very unique personalities which compliment each other. Their character design also is amazing - you'll never have trouble telling two characters apart and their looks really reflect their character. Kudos to the mangaka for not making Ayame the jealous ex because that would've made me drop the manga.

Enjoyment: I read it non-stop for a couple of days. I loved it so much I stayed up till 2am before my exam to read it - I just couldn't put it down! Also worth a few re-reads too.

Overall? If you like shoujo, read it because it's beautiful and emotional and builds on shoujo tropes. If you don't like shoujo - try it for a few chapters. ;)
