At chapter 3, I felt this should not exceed 20 chapters. At Chapter 27, I've dropped it. Please. I can't stand cringiness for 50 more chapters, no way.
Honestly, when people are giving rave reviews on this, it feels like they had only read sooo many bad manga that this was a saviour to them. Please, save yourself from wasting your time.
A good shoujo manga, no matter if it's full of cliched situations or tropes, is nuanced. NUANCED. It is the tiny details, the reactions, the expressions and the analogies that give the characters a body, a persona. There's no ounce of the meaning 'nuance'

The story is ok, the art is stylized and I actually kinda like it, the MC is fun and the supporting characters are fun too.
But the thing that ruins everything for me is that our main character is a 16 year old high school girl while her love interest, who we are supposed to root for, is the high school janitor and he's 24. That, my friends, is something the law calls "illegal", and I like to call it "gross" and "pe/do". I started reading Dengeky Daisy in hope it will be similar to Maid-Sama. Oh boy, was I wrong.
At first it started and seemed like a great manga! I was so hooked up! Until it stared to make no sense what so ever. But the worst thing about it is that there is no progression in romance, until really late on (near the end). Near the chapter 50 I was done with it. Story just got complicated (and it didn't make any sense). I was so pissed that I had to read the spoilers. And, as expected, the thing I was waiting for so long, ... |
