But the thing that ruins everything for me is that our main character is a 16 year old high school girl while her love interest, who we are supposed to root for, is the high school janitor and he's 24. That, my friends, is something the law calls "illegal", and I like to call it "gross" and "pe/do". (Also, if you try to justify an adult dating a child with the age of consent in Japan, then 1) you support pe/dos and 2) in many places in Japan the age of consent is 18.) Not to say that that is the only reason why I don't really like Teru's and Kurosaki's relationship; he's extremely toxic towards her, and while this is a comedy manga so it can easily be brushed off, I'm just not here for it.
This could've worked just fine if Teru was a senior (aka 18 years old) and Kurosaki a bit younger, or if this would've been in an university setting, OR if Kurosaki would've been a senior while Teru stayed as a second year student. Literally, any of those and this would've been actually enjoyable.
