In a hidden school surrounded by mountains, young ladies of good families are taught everything a high class lady needs to know. They are also completely cut off from the outside world, keeping them sheltered and innocent. However, a problem has come up recently―more and more graduates are failing to cope with the modern world after graduation. To deal with this problem, they've decided to kidnap a male commoner student, and enroll him as a student. They hope that this will be a gentle way to introduce the girls to the outside world.
Kagurazaka Kimito is chosen for this dubious honor, mostly because he seems utterly average. However, the school leaders also seem to have concluded he's a homosexual with a muscle fetish. When Kimito hears that the alternative may be castration (to protect the girls' purity), he eagerly plays along with this misconception. Now he'll just have to survive the attention of many high class young ladies that are completely out of touch with the world!
Ore ga Ojousama Gakkou ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Rachirareta Ken has been published in English as Shomin Sample: I Was Abducted by an Elite All-Girls School as a Sample Commoner by Seven Seas Entertainment since May 3, 2016.
Since there weren't many reviews for this series, I thought I'd write one.
WELCOME TO SEIKA ALL GIRLS ACADEMY!!!
Honestly, if you enjoy Haganai, chances are you'll probably enjoy this series quite a bit. It's Haganai but more comedic.
First of, the plot. The main protagonist of this story, Kagurazaka Kimito, was kidnapped and brought to Seika Girl Academy to act as a "Commoner Sample". Since Seika is a school designed for girls from wealthy family, most of the ladies there are largely sheltered with little no knowledge of the outside world. As a consequence, when many of these ladies graduate, they become shut-in
(NEET w/ money to build super gaming computers) due to the disconnect between the environment at Seika and the outside world. To resolve this problem, Seika Academy kidnapped Kimito, a "commoner" to help Seika's ladies to slowly adjust to the outside world. So why did a guy get kidnapped to be a commoner for an all-girl rich school you ask? Well, apparently, Kimito is a raging homosexual with a large fetish for muscles which make him the perfect candidate since he's still a male and a commoner.
Kimito is fitting as a male-harem lead. Unlike the generic male lead, he's quick-witted and quite arguably, the ultimate troll. He knows how to have fun being the only gay, muscle-loving male, in an all girls school. Other than Kimito, other characters are also highly memorable in their own quirky way though they do follow the general anime archetype. Perhaps its this self-awareness of the archetype that makes the character so memorable.
The art is beautiful, there's really no denying that. The artist gets better with every chapter and the varied expressions of the character is something that makes this manga so visually appealing.
Honestly, if you enjoy a good comedy, go read this. Don't take the plot too seriously and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
A typical type of harem setting, but the character is forced to be in it. The story starts off when the main character, Kimito is forced to go to an all girls school where they are being trained to be mistresses. As Kimito is forced to stay in the all girls school he encounters several girls each with a different personality who want to hang out with him. Once they form a group they make a club where people learn more about commoners which of course Kimito being the only one.
Story- The story is well started focusing on the relationship of all the girls.
It involves the characters figuring out what commoners do which since Kimito is the only commoner gets to decide.
Art- The art is pretty well done expressing emotions and showing great design on every page
Overall- If you are looking for a typical comedy featuring awkward situations then this manga would be great to read
