I don't know where to begin with this story, although I should probably say I actually started reading this a couple of years before I'm writing this review. I could hardly stomach reading this manga if I'm honest, which I guess was the point huh? I read the first 12 chapters a while ago and had to stop, I only came back to finish reading it just before writing this review. There are plenty of gorefest mangas out there, and while this may not have the most gore it certainly made me feel it on an almost visceral level. I did not enjoy reading this ... manga, and I had to stop reading it halfway through, but in that way, it's like a car crash, it was always in the back of my mind so here I am after finishing reading.

TL;DR This was not a pleasant manga to read, but once I started I felt I had to finish it.

At it's core this is clearly a manga that is meant illicit negative feelings in you and make you disturbed and bothered by the happenings within, it's good at doing that on surface level. But when you try and look at it objectively, it honestly appears very shallow, I would say that it's attempt at depicting abuse are caricaturist-esque.

When you see the kids and adults alike slowly unravel and show their true colors and begin acting erratically and sadistically, it tries way too hard. These characters are just way too cartoonish in nature for any of this to really matter or strike a ... real chord that resonates in you.

I think if you look at this and omit any deeper meaning it just reads way better. It works much better as edgy slasher horror than it does anything even remotely provocative, I read it for the kills and the gritty rough around the edges art style. I can see the art style not being everybodys thing, but I for one enjoyed it. It is very reminiscent of the early 2000s scene kid scene.

If you like horror, and art that doesn't fit the status quo and especially if you are a goth kid at heart, I recommend this manga.

I've recently decided to give this manga a shot due to popularization of the movie adaptation. While I decided to start with the source material as I usually do. I expected a well crafted story with actually tragic and emotional scenes.
What I got was a product of poor writing and flat as cardboard characters, it strangely reminds me of school days.
Misomisou is about a story of a girl being bullied after moving to rural village.

My biggest issue with this manga are characters, or rather devils made to make reader's blood boil with their evil actions with the stupidest motivation to ever graze the manga scene. ... A lot of shock value just for the sake of it and don't forget horribly written "twists". If you see any character he's most likely either killed or is a flattest character you will ever gaze upon with your eyes. There's a certain moment where you're supposed to care but you only seen that character for like 2 panels.

It's same as every over the top revenge story where author makes every character irredeemable monster with no motivations but to cause terror to our main character. There's nothing really to write about this manga as the only trait it has is shock value and "characters".
Words cannot describe how disappointed I am, I wanted to drop it from the first chapter due to pacing and horrible dialogue.
I'm not picky about art as long as story is good (OPM webcomic is a good example) but this manga unfortunately has neither.

No reason to read, except the fact that it's short.
