This is a review for the whole 7DS series.
7DS is a series with extremelly high highs and quite low lows.
The strengths of the series are its characters, action and how enjoyable it is to read.
The weaknesses of the series is the plot, consistancy and power system.

The characters appear superficial (which some certainly are) if you don't pick up on some subtlety but the mangaka manages to perfectly balance the charactrers as, believable in the real world and extroadinary to work in a manga. One of the characters ,Ban, I believe to be one of the best written manga characters I've ever seen.

The plot towards the ...

(Ultra compressed version at the end of the review).

Nanatsu no Taizai's greatest strength is, I think, in the way it sincerely expresses emotion. It doesn't matter how messed up a character arc, the power levels or the greater narrative are - a look, a few words, a short backstory are all it really needs to make you resonate with the character at a deeper level than before.

Actually, for all its structural and narrative weaknesses, to me this manga makes more sense than most mainstream shounen. It's just that the author himself held it back by insisting on making everything seem like the biggest deal ever ...

Nanatsu no Taizai

Started reading the manga after the first season of the anime was over. At least at the time, I was still curious how everything would develop. Meanwhile, the manga has taught me that curiosity is apparently punished.

The story of Nanatsu no Taizai was built on a solid foundation, also with mediocre world-building and character background. There's nothing wrong with that, I found some backgrounds a bit interesting. Especially from Meliodas, Elizabeth, Estarossa. At least they were interesting, and one of them was even a bit surprising. The backgrounds of the remaining characters were also okay and at least matched their personality and the ...

I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this dumpster fire of a manga to anyone.

The plot starts off interesting — a tavern owner running his business gets entangled with a princess looking to save her kingdom by seeking out a band of criminals, and, miraculously, she finds the ex-captain of a group of criminals in the tavern owner. A simple plot, but it's simplicity is what drew many in in the first place.

And somewhere along the way, probably right after the first big battle arc, is when Nanatsu no Taizai truly fell apart.

The story after the big battle is full of bad writing, and any plot ...

Nanatsu no taizai was the first manga I ever read from the beginning to the end, and even though at the beginning it was an enjoyable story, at some point, it started to decline and never went up nor returned to what it used to be.

The story revolves around the princess Elizabeth Liones, the youngest adoptive daughter of the king of Liones. She set herself on an adventure to find the Seven Deadly Sins, the strongest group of knights the kingdom ever saw. During her journey, she found Meliodas, Diane, Ban, King, Gowther, Merlin, and finally Escanor, a group with whom she experienced adventures, revelations ...

This manga is simply not for me... or maybe, it's not for an adult that can get bored by repetitive behaviour or that has A LITTLE of reasoning. Maybe - and i repeat MAYBE - a younger person may appreciate it, or someone that read without picking a single moment to make questions himself.

I challenge you: take ANY chapter of this serie and try not to pick a SINGLE moment in which one of the main characters - even secondary - are about to be defeated or dying and... WHOA! That person, yeah THAT PERSON that was there just all the time put off the ...

Not only did Nanatzu No Taizai deliver amazing characters and art, it all returned with a god-awful, boring story with a disappointing ending. The story starts with a welcome to it's amazing world and system, introducing the Seven Deadly Sins with amazing scenes and moments, delivering a good start for a shonen.

Nanatzu No Taizai's strong points were definitely it's characters and the world surrounding them, delivering strong, interesting, A-tier character interactions while also giving the readers what they want. Good fights between them! The chemistry between the characters make this manga worth reading. Until it gets worse.

The start promised a good shonen on it's way ...

Preliminary (340/364 chp)
The manga was such a dissapointment. Efter watching the anime i fell in love with the story and wanted to try out and read the manga. It started of really good actually and i looked forward for every new chapter coming out but everything changed for me during the "demon king ark".

The writing became very predictable, lazy and inmature. It just became "with the power of friendship we can defeat this unstoppable evil" which honestly ruined it for me. I know the manga is targeted towards kids but still its something you've seen in so many other shows and honestly is just used as a ...
