This is a spoiler free review.
This movie was everything I hoped for and a little more, it's probably my favourite One Piece movie. It has its fair share of good and bad aspects, but the good stuff was a lot better then the bad stuff was bad.
Positives:
The art style is quite different, it felt like a really fluid wavy version of the early One Piece style and I thought it was great.
The tension was amazing, it felt very natural for the most part and when it hit it hit hard.
The mystery is really interesting, it doesn't exactly tell you what is going on but
...
you piece it together gradually.
The villian is great, he's scary and punchable but he's also sympathetic and in denial.
Neutral:
The character writing was really great but it failed to resolve certain plot threads, a simple few lines of dialogue would have sufficed.
The pacing is okay, it can be kind of slow at times but it isn't too big of a deal.
Negatives:
The CGI was bad, espically towards the beginning, which was a shame for such an artistic movie.
Again some plot threads are left open ended, you can guess what happened but it can feel confusing if you're not really paying attention.
Why does that guy have a Hitler mustash.
Overall its a great movie that I would definitly recommend to any One Piece fan and its also quite accessible to people who haven't watched/read One Piece.

Spoiler free review.
Story (10/10): Anyone can enjoy One Pieces story, it doesn't matter if you're a casual fan or someone who likes to analyse every little thing, you will be blown away. There are many layers to the story but it doesn't feel overwhelming because its usually so relaxed and natural you'll rarely find yourself questioning plot elements. The story is a joy to experience and there is so much to love about it.
Characters (9/10): The characters are simply brilliant, as you would expect all major characters are written extremally well, you genuienly care for them, they're goals and their happiness, espically as the vast
...
majority come with a heartwrenching backstory. However Oda has managed to fill his world with equally as amazing minor characters that make it feel the world of One Piece is filled to the brim with interesting people no matter where you look.
Unfortunatly with this amount of characters naturally some characters (even main ones) can have a lack of screentime and not be doing much particularly after the timeskip as their main character arc has completed. However this doesn't stop them from being lovable amazing characters.
Worldbuilding (10/10): The worldbuilding is some of the best I've seen in fiction, every loction has a unique history, culture, is full of new characters, and some ones that are less connected to the world at large have their own currency and technologies. It's sad but I think I understand more about the world Oda has created than our own world.
Art (8/10): Odas art is extremally expressive and that adds wonderfully to the drama and emotions of the story and characters, the designs of locations is top notch and character designs are mostly amazing but with a couple notible exeptions. The panelling is largely very good but there are some scenes that are slightly confusing upon first reading, but those are very rare.
Enjoyment (10/10): Everything I've already talked about and some stellar comedy comes into effect when making One Piece one of the most fun to read and enjoyable manga out there, there's so much to enjoy on every level of the story, the characters are all unique and fun to read about, and the art comes in to enhance the experience.
The pacing of the manga does suffer a little at certain point but it barely detracts from the experiece.
Overall its a 10/10 from me and it's honestly my favourite piece of media out there.
If you haven't read of watched One Piece I cannot recommend it enough, if its extreme length puts you off let me just say that theres nothing rushing you, read at your own pace and enjoy it as you go.

This is a review for the whole 7DS series.
7DS is a series with extremelly high highs and quite low lows.
The strengths of the series are its characters, action and how enjoyable it is to read.
The weaknesses of the series is the plot, consistancy and power system.
The characters appear superficial (which some certainly are) if you don't pick up on some subtlety but the mangaka manages to perfectly balance the charactrers as, believable in the real world and extroadinary to work in a manga. One of the characters ,Ban, I believe to be one of the best written manga characters I've ever seen.
The plot towards the
...
end of the series is questionable, its enjoyable but I don't think it was entirely nessicary nor executed amazingly, it kinda detracts from previous events.
The power system makes 0 sense, it looks very badass but power scalers will go insane reading this, many powers will be used once and never again and power levels were an entirely unnessicary addition to the series.
Much like the characters the series can definitly be a fun shonen action series if thats all your looking for but if you want morethan that you'll definitly find that and more within the characters but not so much with the plot or power system.

The biggest flaws of this series in my opinon are the bad pacing, mediocre action, very one note characters and the fact that theres very little substance in this manga.
If you read this manga you will probably enjoy it and move on, there's nothing that will make you want to go back and read again or think about the series in depth which is unfortunate.
To be positive the series can be quite funny and certain characters (Inosuke) are very enjoyable to read about.
There are many problems like the pacing action and consistancy issues that I think can be fixed with the anime adaptation which I
...
hope will happen.
Overall its a 7/10, it does not deserve nearly the amount of praise it gets but its still reasonably enjoyable.
Don't set your expectations too high if you plan on reading.
