Mixed Feelings

Nanatsu no taizai was the first manga I ever read from the beginning to the end, and even though at the beginning it was an enjoyable story, at some point, it started to decline and never went up nor returned to what it used to be.

The story revolves around the princess Elizabeth Liones, the youngest adoptive daughter of the king of Liones. She set herself on an adventure to find the Seven Deadly Sins, the strongest group of knights the kingdom ever saw. During her journey, she found Meliodas, Diane, Ban, King, Gowther, Merlin, and finally Escanor, a group with whom she experienced adventures, revelations and war against other factions and races.

It is hard for me to say it, but, as noted in the beginning, the story went downhill, and somehow it never recovered. In my opinion, this happened during the battle against the Ten Commandments, where Meliodas perished. Even though there were extraordinary scenes and breathtaking panels afterwards, it was not enough to fix a story that relied too much on overpowered characters (Meliodas) and plot armor (Elizabeth and Elaine), which led to a lacklustre ending that filed no one's expectations.
