Seiji Aino is an ordinary student living a seemingly boring life, until a strange girl calling herself Guri shows up at his doorstep and claims that if Seiji does not kiss someone, she will die. Ignoring the event as some sort of attempted religious soliciting, Seiji closes the door and walks away, only to find that Guri can phase right through it!
Guri wields a "Kiss Note," a powerful magical notebook that can cause two people to instantly fall in love if their names are written in it. As a cupid, it is Guri's duty to use the notebook to create couples. And as it turns out, she accidentally wrote Seiji's name in the book, forcing him to complete the pair by finding someone to kiss.
At a loss for words, Seiji believes Guri's ridiculous story and kisses his crush Akane Hiyama, the school's most popular girl. But Akane's feelings for Seiji go far beyond what would be considered normal, and she develops an obsession with him. As if things couldn't get more ludicrous, Guri announces that she also harbors feelings for him, marking the start of Seiji's chaotic and comedic love life. Will either girl be able to win Seiji's affection, or will their personal lives interrupt their dreams?
Imagine, a Shinigami comes knocking at your door and tells you to kiss somebody out of blue?
Sure your gonna think it’s some scam or someone playing a trick on you. Right? A similar situation starts in Renai Boukun.
Renai Boukun or Love Tyrant is a Death Note parody by Aino Seiji. It revolves around out protagonist, Aino Seiji, a normal high school boy who gets caught up by, Giris, a cupid who actually enjoys cosplaying as a Shinigami. But is this as dark, cold, scary like Death Note? Read on—
** There might be a bit of spoilers, but i don't think they will ruin
Aino Senji, a normal high school boy gets caught up with Giris, a cupid. She is an angel who links up couples by writing their name in her ‘KISS NOTE’. Something like A X B.
She accidently writes down Senji’s name. Now, Senji has to kiss someone within 24hrs or Giris will die! Also, he will remain a virgin his entire life!!
To find a solution, they go to his high school, to find a suitable person for Senji to kiss out of his free will. There, comes Hiyama Akane, Senji’s crush. Normally, Giris would not be visible to other people, but surprisingly is visible to Akane. To make things worse, Akane misunderstands that Senji and Giris are dating. The cute and hot Akane becomes a killer yanadre and gives “capital punishment” to Giris and Senji. Senji and Giris somehow escape but are caught by Akane who attacks both of them. Senji protects Giris and in the attempt Giris makes Senji and Akane kiss!! So does the story end,?Nope, there is more. Giris also kisses Senji! Now starts a harem between a cupid and high school guy and a yanadre.
Giris X Senji X Akane.
Renai Boukun is the typical shounen harem series, so the art is quite like its genre. Big boobs, panty shots are all part of this manga. If I have to relate the art, it’s quite similar to Koisme Momiji. The detailing is good, and the main thing- the KISS NOTE is just like the DEATH NOTE
The story is introduced by Senji, our hero who is just like normal shounen romance guys. a normal guy with a crush. Giris is one of a kind shinigami...oops cupid. She is the sole comedy carrier of the manga. And the biggest blunder is that she is a BL fan.. Now imagine all the couples she may have made!!! All gays!! Not to mention, her sudden transform into a lover is also a funny part. But the serious change award foes to Akane. At first she is a really a big boob sweet girl, but appearances can be deceptive. She is over possessive of Senji and also a psycho yanadre. She kills people with no mercy. And I mean it...KILL
for starters, the concept is really unique and so are the characters. It is fun to read. It’s not mandatory for you to read death note, to read Renai Boukun. It has its own set, plot and gags. This plot has a really good potential and only time will tell the outcome of this harem. the curiosity might keep you wanting fir more, at least, im curious to know the outcome, so far I enjoyed Renai Boukun.
Concept of KISS NOTE-
You may consider this as a spoiler, but if you want to know ONLY about the KISS NOTE you can read on
1. It’s used to link to couples.
2. The name have to be written with X in middle, like, GirisXSenji
3. If only a single name is written, Then that person has to kiss someone otherwise he/she will be a virgin for their entire life and the cupid will die
4. The couples whose name is written in the KISS NOTE will eventually get married in the future
Though, the concept is fresh, there are some parts which have been used before. If you like reading shounen love mangas and need more to read, this is one for you, but hard core Death Note fans probably might not accept this concept. Again, if you welcome innovative stuff, you might as well as give this a try. Well, not much can be said because we have only 2 chapter’s scanlated so far and 5 out in Japan.

So the manga isn't horrible, but I can't really call it good. It feels to generic for me to enjoy. It is all predictable to such a high degree. The characters are nothing special and generic, but other than that are somewhat likable. There are many other romantic comedies that are better than this that I would check out. If you have seen them and have nothing else this might be okay.
Overall would I recommend this manga? As a backup only. Also note that there have only been around 29 chapter since the 3 and a half years it has been publishing. (They are
larger chapters 30-45 pages)
Story(5/10) There isn't really a story. Just a slice of life feel and a romantic comedy. The events that take place are almost seem repetitive such as someone is in trouble and its up to the others to save them. There is repetition but only 29 chapters this far.
Art(8/10) The art is good. It is nothing special, but it doesn't have to be. The characters all look good and the backgrounds are fine.
Characters(7/10) Generic cut and paste characters. Tsundere, crazy girl, nice guy, and a girl learning what love is(also and airhead) make up the main characters.
Enjoyment(7/10) I probably would give this closer to a 6, but read the opening paragraph for the important details about the enjoyment.
One of the wackiest love stories you will ever read and a good one too. The main character gets in a bad/good situation in were he's force to love many of the female characters of the story. The art presented in this series goes very well with the story in were it doesn't takes to serious giving the reader a lot funny expressions from the characters. The story has his moments on romance in were the main character may need to make a choose presented to him that will change the development of the characters. This series can have some "violent moments" but rest assure
this is a comedy manga so there no gonna be something out of the ordinary. I will recommend this manga to anyone who loves comedy romance/harem type to give this a chance, you may like it.
Reinai Boukun is another harem manga with a concept of gods and demons, i dropped this manga at first after reading the first 5 chapters because i thought it looked as if it was going to be really generic and plain boring, but i retried reading it, told myself just to bear with it for a bit and well i say i wasn't at all disappointed.
The plot is nothing special, it is just another typical rom-com but what really stands out is the characters and
their development. There aren't many mangas which has yandere characters in them, and in this case akane is a full blown yandere at the beginning of the series, but after a few chapters, she seemed dull and lacked character making her feel like a 'doll' or some sort, but as the story progress, her yandere side becomes slowly toned down and i character slowly developed for the better. another character which interests me is the bad girl of this manga, shikimi. She starts as a full blown antagonist when she first appeared, and it actually continued for quite some time before she finally gets 'tamed' down. her mischievous and villanous side actually feels authentic and how her character progress is really fun to watch. There's also a lot of other funny and fun characters in this manga, and the conflict between hell and heaven going on, for the readers to enjoy.
I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a romcom harem just to fill your time, and not for the plot. The story is pretty basic and generic but if you can bear the first few chapters, then this might be something worth your while.
