Similarities include: schools in which students learn how to become more proficient with magic; male protagonists who have unique positions within the school system due to their special ability; the many female characters who they oftentimes interact with; and an action-oriented narrative with many references to magic tropes.

Do note however that Mx0 is mostly light-hearted, whereas Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei has a more serious tone.

Similarities include: specialised schools that ranks students in terms of their magic abilities; male protagonists who are low ranked students, but have exceptional combat strategy; and action and romance themes that permeate throughout both titles.

-Magic and Science. But TAMNI seratates them, MKNR unites them. -Academy. It's a school life i mean. -Harem. The protagonist somewhat becomes so popular.

Both Male protagonists love and want to protect their sisters and will go to any lengths to do so. Both female characters want more than a brother sister relationship with the male protagonist. Both male characters are very strong and intelligent, they work best under pressure from the enemy. Both manga's share Action, magic, Fantasy, Romance, Shounen, and Supernatural genre elements.

In both mangas, the protagonist is someone who is scorned by society due to something (in Mahouka Kouko, it's because he is a weed, in Kuusen Madoushi it's because he's labeled as a traitor due to an incident). Both protagonists, however, are strong in an aspect. Both involve some sort of school theme mixed with an magical aspect. Also, power of magic is also measured. Both mangas do have their differences, as in Kuusen Madoushi, magic is used to fend off "bug monsters", whereas Mahouka Kouko magic is just something studied and used (not sure what for).

Both male MCs are OP and confident in their abilities. They fight to protect the every day life of their little "sister" and get pretty scary and angry when it comes to them. The enemies/villains are pretty much non-existend because they are there just for the plot and to run more smoothly. In both stories when the MCs arrive to their school they are underestimated but all/some students.

Both main character are underestimated. they both use interesting ways to fight with unconventional powers.

Both stories have a MC who is more powerful than he appears.Ultimate Antihero has an MC who's true power is supposedly sealed away while The Irregular at magic High-Enrollment Arc has an MC who's real power cannot be measured using standard means, thus gets classified as weak.

The main male character prefers to be left alone, and shows kindness and devotion only to the main female character. Also, he has an unique skill that he doesn't want others to notice.

Despite featuring very different aesthetics, both titles feature specialised schools which rank students according to their proficiency in regard to particular subjects (magic in Mahouka Koukou, and normal subjects in Baka Test). Moreover, both also depicts discrimination of lower ranked students across all levels within the school setting.

Similarities include: specialised schools that rank students according to their ability; a male protagonist who is ranked low despite having hidden potential; the many female characters who develop a connection with the male protagonist (both friendship and romantic); and a narrative that utilises magic and action tropes.

Similarities include: a specialised school which ranks students in terms of particular attributes (combat skills in Hidan no Aria and magic skills in Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei); a male protagonist who is ranked in the lowest class despite having hidden potential; and the many female characters who develop a relationship with the male protagonist.

Both have overpowered protagonist that initially hid his overpowered skills, and slowly reveals it to the people around him. They also get their harems later on...

Similarities would be the discrimination of a large group of people, overall the aspect of a political conflict (though they are of different dimensions), oppression of the main character by his own family, the stoicism of the main character and him being a siscon.

Magical. Mahouka less ecchi, but has a voluminous amount of attractive characters.

Lead actor has a hidden talent as well but with different themes - one talks about basketball whereas the other talks about magic.
