Synopsis

Rintarou Shidou, a high school student who aspires to be a full-time househusband, is in the same class as Rei Otosaki, a member of the popular idol group "Mille-feuille Stars." Rintarou, who has no deep interest in idols, accepts this as a fact and lives his life without any particular involvement. One day, a turning point came to him. Rintarou unintentionally helps Rei Otosaki, who collapses unexpectedly at the nearest station, and discovers that she is too hungry to move due to the rigorous lessons. Rintaro has no choice but to serve her a home-cooked meal and tell her that this is the end of their relationship. "I'll pay 300,000 yen a month, and I'll also pay for food for the two of us. So, please provide me with food every day." Rintarou is wary of such a tempting offer, but as he gets to know her unclouded heart, the bond between them gradually deepens. As Rintaro is favored by other members of the Mille-feuille Stars besides Otosaki, and saves them from their predicament, they become irreplaceable to each other. This is the story of a man and a woman who live in different worlds, but who eventually unite.

There’s basically no romance and whenever there is, it feels stiff and unnatural to the story, as the romance shouldn’t be developing in said situation. As for the comedy, there’s virtually none or none that’s a smile or chuckle moment at least. The plot is okay, but the characters are probably the most disappointing thing about this manga.

The mc is pretty lofty, so there’s not much to say about him; he’s pretty much your average mc that ...

Another read from my "picking random mangas and giving it a read" journey. It definitely didn't disappoint but didn't amaze me too much too.

The story starts with a boy, our male lead, staring at and introducing the readers to the female lead. The female lead being an idol, and that of an extremely popular group, with a prolific career in the tv industry too is constantly surrounded by her classmates and is treated as an object of perfection. Whereas on the other hand, our male lead is a normal school boy with seemingly no special abilities to differentiate him. It looks something familiar. Isn't it ...
