Ladies and Gentlemen, we have YET another needless manga that's only purpose is to boost sales.


This manga just like it's parent is about Soccer. Instead of adding anything new this manga does the exact opposite. It feels like an filler arc but in manga form, nothing interesting happens at all it's just bland and generic complemented by the bad art. It focuses on the Nagi and the other side characters, we get their side stories it even adds new extra scenes. The problem with this is that it's so unnecessary to try and flesh out these characters when it's the authors job to do that.It ...

Very interesting manga. This is basically a spin-off, but in the eyes of both Nagi and Reo. Which in my opinion is really fun and interesting, we get to see how both Nagi and Reo started the journey, like Isagi did in the original Blue Lock series.
It does not have anything extremely new, but it shows a different perspective really well.
I really love this manga and I am super curious how this one will continue, but as of now (7 chapters in. I am extremely hyped!

True to its title, this spinoff tells the story of Nagi's journey in Blue Lock. The first chapter starts off right after Nagi and Reo make their promise to play football together and shows how the two became a powerful duo pre-Blue Lock, how they got invited into Blue Lock, and how they passed the selections. If you like Nagi and Reo, you'd definitely enjoy reading this spinoff as it adds more depth to their relationship and gives a better understanding of their thoughts and ego/motivations. Some side characters that aren't as relevant in the main series, such as Zantetsu, are also given some spotlight.
