A sweet romcom showing that love transcends differences, be it age, ethnicity, or, in this case, height. The main gimmick of this romcom is that the male and female leads have a significant height difference. The genres and themes are slightly misleading - I would remove "Romantic Subtext" and add "Romance," "Ecchi," and "Harem". The author is Takuji Yuusaku, and this is his first non one-shot manga. The manga is a quick read, comprising 52 short chapters.
The characters don't reveal many unique traits throughout the story. There's a lack of development outside of each character's focus. Each character mostly follows a character archetype. Despite being

somewhat shallow, in my opinion, each character is still written well. The characters do grow at times but mostly stay the same throughout the story.
The plot is consistent and mainly focused on whether or not the male and female lead will end up together. There are side plots involved with other characters that develop cleanly alongside the main plot. The story sometimes relies on clichés to set up a chapter/chapters, which isn't bad in my opinion. It's nothing new, so don't expect anything extraordinary. This formula for romcoms has been used a lot, which is fine because it works. The main gimmick comes into play between the main and supporting characters. The gimmick doesn't scream "focus on me"; it fits well and is realistic. Overall, every chapter could plausibly happen in real life, though it's highly unlikely in most instances.
The settings shown in the manga are consistent and memorable. Some locations are used once, while others are shown often. The level of depth put into the setting/background puts emphasis on the characters. It's almost as if the world outside the characters' interactions doesn't exist sometimes.
Overall, I enjoyed this read. The only reason I have mixed feelings about the manga is because of the target audience. I know the genres "Ecchi" and "Harem" are off-putting for a lot of people. The fan service this time around, in my opinion, was tolerable. If you like seeing a cute and sweet group of teenagers going about their school life, growing up together, then you should read this manga.
