Preliminary (55/? chp)
{Mild Spoilers Ahead}

Spy X Family is a manga that is well-written, well-drawn, and well thought out. The themes are – relative to other anime – sufficiently innovative without losing the touch of familiarity. The characters have interesting personalities, hilarious motives, and unique designs. The premise is immediately eye-catching and the execution superb. The story manages to excel in occupying a mean between simplicity and complexity, making this a joy to read without being needlessly complicated. All of this makes Spy X Family an easily recommendable pick. This manga has something to offer to everyone from slice of life comedy to bombastic action, but – of ...

First time giving a review so I hope that says something about how much I like it,

This is only at 10 chapters when I'm posting it but so far it's been much more than I expected, a friend told me about it and I was like sure, and threw it on my ever expanding list of things to read/watch. One day I found myself sorting through my list and saw it again and said "hey why not"

No regrets.

The characters are all so wholesome, Lloyd himself is something I've never really seen before in anime or manga, a male tsundere, and I ask you ...

47 chapters in, Spy x Family is consistently wholesome and funny. Lloyd creates the Forger family as conveniently as possible for the sake of his mission, enlisting an adopted daughter (Anya) and wife (Yor). Little does he know, he's not the only one living a double life. It always keeps you wondering when Yor and/or Lloyd will figure each other out and if they might one day be hired against each other, forcing them to choose between their career or their fake family.

The whole thing's just pretty heartwarming as we watch a spy and assassin learn to care for an obnoxious child that knows ...

I'd usually consider myself to be very picky when rating manga/anime. In fact, I usually find romcom boring when it comes down to it. However, this series has won me over completely and utterly. If you're shounen trash like I am, or you just love romcoms in general, then this series is for you [Slight Spoilers Ahead].

Story [10/10]:
So far, the story is utterly amazing to say the least. I've seen no major flaws within it. It's always engaging and funny when it needs to be. From what I've seen, there are little to no pacing issues when it comes to the fight scenes, and the ...

A spy story that is unique? Sign me upppppppppp! So i first got into this manga from a YT recommendation and I'm grateful i did because this is an incredible story with a lot to offer.

Story 10/10

The story is well thought out and simple, yet can be complex in between the lines. This follows Loid, the spy, Anya, the esper, and Yor, the assassin as they balance their secrets, life, and work. Every character and moment has a purpose that adds on to the story, it's not just there for the audience reaction. It's there to lead the reader on through the story without ...

TL;DR : a unique cute shounen, romance comedy with a fun story and likable characters. Really good series.

Spy x Family has garnered widespread popularity largely garnered by the overwhelming success thus far of studio wits anime of the series. I found the anime pleasantly fun, sufficiently inoffensive and overall would say I had a positive experience with the show. Certainly not the first-class masterpiece that some people were lauding it as, but certainly a worthwhile experience. However the lack of content in the anime left me wanting a little bit more spy x family; so I decided to read the manga.

I can say that ...

Spy x Family shows a plot with characters that intertwine which makes the Manga brilliant. With the art matching the story very well and I would most definitely recommend this to everyone that reads manga, for this is TRUE ART! YES! A spy with a operation with an interesting twist really wraps this all together as a sweet but intense manga that will be enjoyed by all! ...

More than I love a well-done but generic story, I love a fresh one. Throw at me different concepts and personalities and dynamics. I love it!

Every character is entertaining and pops off the page. The relationship dynamics between not only the family but who the family chooses to interact with are just as good.

I didn't think I'd like Anya since kid characters are really hit or miss for me, but once she got to interact with kids her age, it really sold her to me.

I will say that I wasn't too big a fan of the mother's design, but at least her ...

TL;DR 10/10 Just go read it, unless you wanna stay for the review:

What is there to say that hasn't been said before? Spy x Family is arguably one of the best manga I have personally ever read. The story goes: An agent, Twilight, is given the task of starting a family in order to infiltrate one of the most prestigious academies in the area, the reason being is to make friends with one of the students' Father and prevent a war. Along the way, he adopts a child who can read minds and marries an assassin, without knowing any of that. From then on, hilarity ...

Well, this was my first time reading a spy manga, but damn man! It's really good, I mean the character design and their pasts have been portrayed so well, and the portrayal of three main protagonists trying to maintain the family despite having three unique quirks while only one person knowing about it keeps the reader hungry for more. Just the fact that this is a biweekly manga is disappointing for many readers and I do hope that this manga will get published for a long time

Coming down to the illustrations, I like how Tatsuya Endo maintained the accuracy and details in the manga.

I ...

Spy X Family is a delightful, light-hearted series.
Extremely easy to read, pages fly by. The series maintains a quick and enthralling rhythm, perfectly setting up increasingly rewarding punchlines. The characters are at once fresh and familiar, and the whole Mr and Mrs Smith concept is always fun.
The daughter character, who I find I usually have trouble as comedy relief, was great and adorable. In fact, the entire family functions so smoothly as a family unit. The hardships of raising a children and of being a good wife/husband could appear trite, especially in contrast to the explosive spy and hitman families they are intertwined ...

about a spy wanting to remain concealed, so he forms a fake family of three to make him seem like a normal father. It is a nice comedy and i have really been enjoying it. The three characters don't have a full backstory yet, but it suits the character due do their design. You only know what each of the characters know and they each hide their true identity, making it part of the fun. So the three odd balls suit each other really well.
Its mainly a comedy, so it is not meant to be taken too seriously. Even so, the story is ...

7/3/22:
Story - TBD
Art - 9
Character - 7
Enjoyment - 8 (10/5.5)
Overall - 8

I think it's too early in the story to judge whether it's actually progressive or not, so I'm just gonna give it a solid 8 for its other outstanding aspects.

The manga's at Ch64 right now but I'm not going to catch up with it 'cause I'm not the biggest fan of the current arc. Also, I know it updates slowly. I get the feeling that this is a slow burn manga that will be in serialization for a long time. There's ...

Spy Family is just wonderful.

Story:
Definitely not the best thing ever yet but it is getting there. Twilights mission is hilarious and interesting but it starts off weird because of that, but Endou has developed the world and characters with perfection and I don't doubt that the story will continue to get better and better. 8/10

Art:
The art is perfect. Endou knows how to draw all kinds of scenes whether it is action or conversation. The designs for Twilight, Yor, and Anya are already timeless and unique which is something other manga's suffer from not having. Each chapter is an artistic delight and I am overjoyed ...

Favorite Manga

From action to comedy - the variety is amazing.
Its a very wholesome story that you enjoy with lauging, thrill and excitement.
The comedy adds spice to the action scenes. You can even witness some romance, which is a far more reason to read it. The family is hilarious. It seems like the couple is ordinary, but ordinary is not in their dictionary. Not knowing who they actually are is a wonder from all the circumstances they've been up to. However, the kid (Anya) knows all their tea and can you imagine what a child can fanatise from that.

Not having read this masterpiece is a bummer. ...

NGL, this manga is cute, i like the family a lot and it's one of the manga that i might be able and read until it's ending cause it's that interesting to me. Also the art style is sick, the character design is unique and easily recognizable and also the side characters are also endearing. The author really make a set of interesting character with different personality and goals so its fun to watch them try and achieve those goals. I can't wait for more updates from the author and also more characters to be introduced in the manga. And i wonder if this will ...

Spy x Family starts off well with its core concept and strong cast of characters, but over time becomes bogged down in fluff and side stories that offer little substance. The main plot barely progresses and none of the main characters are ever in any serious danger, which deflates any suspense. It's a low-stakes series that most people can turn their brains off and enjoy, but the resolutions for any conflict become obvious once you become accustomed to the narrative decisions. The action is drawn and paneled well and the dialogue flows smoothly, but for a bi-weekly series the illustration isn't anything special and the ...

Whether you read manga or watch anime, Spy x Family excels at both. I don't know why I was hating it so much at first after reading it until I got a chance to catch up with everything again, and now I'm in love with Spy x Family once more and considering this as one of the best action anime series that Studio CloverWorks has done justice to. The manga is great, but I'm glad the anime has helped me with my hatred for Anya. Because whenever I read the panel that makes Anya look annoying, the anime will save me from that because Anya ...

A story will react to everyone differently. Some will agree with what I'm about to say, others won't. With that, I say all options are valid. For me this story was fantastic. I found myself with a smile at the end of every chapter as the story always found a sweet way to deal with the serious concept. On paper, a spy trying to save a world, married to a paid killer, with a kid who can read minds would leave many to think that this fake family is a ruthless one, but the joy this family shares with each other and the wholesome nature ...

I emerge from cryostasis to spread my filth once more! Or I got COVID and have had time to mindlessly browse and catch up on weeb-shit. I know which one I think sounds cooler.

When I was originally recommended Spy X Family via a YouTube video, I was a little suspicious of it. The premise sounds gimmicky and could easily end up being circuitous, ESPECIALLY if it ended up being long-running in shonen jump. I’m glad to say my fears are unfounded and that this has held up on a repeated viewing.

It works for really simple reasons as well – the scenarios and characters are fun ...
