Spoilers for the original Citrus manga.



So since there are no reviews yet, I thought I'd share my thoughts.

Citrus+ is the continuation of Citrus, the story takes place after Yuzu and Mei's relationship is recognized by their surroundings but before Yuzu and Mei's wedding. At the time of writing this review 6 chapters are out, despite the manga was planned on being released monthly in Comic Yuri Hime since December 2018, chapter 7 won't be out till September 2019.

Story - 8: The main focus of the story is about the relationship about Mei and Yuzu. This sounds familiar right ? It's true that this was also ... the focus of the Citrus manga, but where the Citrus manga was more of an angsty drama about 2 teenage girls falling in love, and overcomming the internal and external hurdles their relationship brought with it, Citrus+ plus seems more like a slice-of-life manga about Yuzu and Mei learning to be in a relationship and actually growing up.

Art- 10: If you've read Citrus you know what you are in for, its Saburouta so yea its pretty good.

Characters - 9: The characters continue from where the original manga ended. It's only been a few chapters but Yuzu and Mei and tries to look for ways in which they can be better partners for one another. The characters seem to be a bit more mature and down to earth, and there seems to be real character development.

Enjoyment - 9: I am really enjoying Citrus+ but I gotta throw a disclaimer out there, I am big fan of the original manga and it's the anime/manga that got me into anime/manga.

Overall - 9: The story and the characters feel more mature than they did in the original manga, but it is still Citrus so I won't tell you that this is the manga you need to read if you like realistic Josei/Seinen manga about romance/relationship. However, the more "slice-of-life" tone the series has taken slows the manga down a bit more and makes Citrus+ more of a character driven series than the original Citrus manga was.

So in conclussion Citrus+ is a slower, more down to earth follow-up to Citrus, which you should definitely check out if you enjoyed the original series or you thought the original show had potential but was too focussed on teenage drama.

Its progresses where our main citrus manga left not after the marriage but after yuzu proposed Mei. alright they are back in being in the same house same room and cute stories follows. i will recommend this manga ONLY to the ones who enjoyed citrus not only the kisses and hugs BUT the drama too because till now (ch-09) we haven't got any 'golden moments' but the story is rather satisfying

Art - 10/10
artwork is pretty similar to the main manga so you can guess xD

Character - 9/10
AND HERE WE PRESENT THE BEST GIRL AWARD TO - HURUMIN!! lol
character development is ... rather interesting and we have a broader look towards the school.

Enjoyment - 7.5/10
oh god Mei is sooo cute in this one too lol she is SOOO SHY!! watching these two is really enjoyable where there are no bedroom scenes up until now you pervs!!

Overall - 9/10?

I thought Citrus was over.

I was wrong.

Citrus+ pretty much continues from where the happy ending left off. And that's about it.

To be fair, I understand the feeling of "I want more! I want more!" but if the ending's already perfect and time passes. The less you yearn for more. Oh, trust me. That's just how it works for everyone. Don't deny it.

I like how Citrus is trying to exploit the "I want more!" factor by giving us Citrus+. But in my opinion. I have already lost interest in Citrus after watching the anime and reading the manga. I'm already over with it. ... I don't need more of it. It's already enough.

You then may ask me psychologically. "Then why the fuck are you reading Citrus+?". Well, because I don't really know where else to go for shoujo-ai. I am confident that I have read all the good ones so I am having difficulties finding the other remainings. Thus, it leads me to this.

Conclusion - Citrus+ is for those who still want more. That's about it. This ain't for me so I will not be reading the manga for a while.
