Synopsis

Our hero wakes up one day in a brand new world…but his new life doesn’t come with fighting skills or magic powers, or even arms and legs! He’s reborn as a helpless egg, stuck in an unfamiliar forest surrounded by terrifying, hungry beasts. But eggs hatch, hatchlings grow up, and humble beginnings can lead to something great. This is another isekai where the mc is reincarnated as a being that is not human. The story feels very similar to 'Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?'. Where the MC's are both protagonists that were originally human, but were reborn as a monster. They both have an ability to speak with god. The world is shaped like a video game and they both strive to level up to understand the reason for them being sent to their new world. I'll say this straight, I enjoyed kumo desu to the point I read the novels.
on finding this I had a similar level of expectations and as I continued reading I actually liked it quite a bit.

The parts I found appealing are the ecology, actually, rather than anything about the characters.
while some monsters are as hostile as expected due to their need to feed themselves, a decent amount of them actually preferred to avoid fighting unless they needed to
this also includes symbiotic relationships between the MC and some of the species he finds throughout the story.

This manga is full of ups and downs when it comes to the relative amount of enjoyment. At times, I see this as one of the best isekai mangas to ever exist, but at others, it’s nothing more than a mind-numbing read. Though, I’ll give the flowers where flowers are due, as this has one of the best developments, in plot or character, in any isekai manga, but it also possesses a horrendous amount of unnecessary details that diminishes any form of enjoyment.
