Similar leading characters, an innocent, sweet, but spunky girl, and a boy who is mean to her at first, but then starts to fall for her. Also both feature elementary aged kids, and darker underlying themes. Finally both are magical girl type stories (but Gakuen Alice is more of a school drama), and both have an emphasis on special (or magical) children.

Even though both stories are very different with CCS having a lot of romance and TRC having a lot of action, they both become serious stories. Some characters from CCS are included in the TRC story. Both manga are by CLAMP.

Both of these Manga revolve around a girl with powers to seal evil. There is a boy who appears to be a rival in the beginning but in the end, they both fight the evil together and fall in love. In CCS, sakura seals clowcards with the help of Kero, In Jeanne maron seals demons in paintings with help of Fin.

Both manga feature girls in the same age group that discover they have magical/god-like powers, and both feature a light romance between the main protagonist and a male lead.

Similar artstyle (due to being from CLAMP) and design. Beyond that, both involve a world of make-believe (with involvement of supernatural beings with magical powers) within a realistic world. Kobato shares some similarities with Sakura, not only in terms of looks (Kobato looks like an older verson of Sakura with a different hairstyle), but part of her character such as cheerfulness. They are very loosely related at best due to these superficial similarities, but it is likely that both are enjoyable in their own ways.

Both are magical girl series featuring girls who must use captured objects to save the world.

Not only are they both created by CLAMP! They are both fun stories that will keep you captivated until the end, if anyone liked one they will surely enjoy the other!

From same publisher of bishoujo manga...magical girl and romance

When I read this manga it really reminded me of Cardcaptors sakura, how she could call the zodiac signs to help her reminded me of how Sakura uses her clow cards. But rather than using them for battle Spica uses them to help her solve cases. The art work for the zodiacs also reminds me a lot of Cardcaptors.

I think both of these girls are main characters who have magical powers. They are both optimistic, have friends, try to make them happy, and are highly curious. They both have hot-headed guys and friendly people. Not to mention, they have some drama, comedy and romance and are very cute manga.

Both have the same theme of "capturing cards". It's kind of "element type" cards in CCS, and Tarot cards in Tableau Gate. The only difference: CCS is aimed to young girls (kind of "your usual shoujo type"), but Tableau Gate is aimed to more mature people since it's more complex than CCS.

Time Stranger Kyouko and Cardcaptor Sakura are two shoujo manga with beautiful artwork and a lot of similar elements. The main character is a girl whose powers mainly come from a magic stick with red jewels and is on a quest to find various magical items. There's also at least one boy who joins her on her quest and has similar magical powers as her as well.

Cosmo Familia and Cardcaptor Sakura are two manga series about a young girl who has to protect her city from magical creatures who escaped from her house and are causing havoc. The young girl has a magical companion that helps her deal with these magical creatures. Both series also focus on the main character's family.

Fairy Idol Kanon and Cardcaptor Sakura both follow a young elementary schoolgirl's adventure where she gets involved with magic. Kanon doesn't use any magic unlike Sakura, but the two girls do get to wear many different outfits throughout their respective stories (both even get to wear an outfit with a certain surprising theme!). Both manga series are also targeted towards girls of all ages and have cute artwork.

Uta Kata and Cardcaptor Sakura are two magical girl manga series about a girl who uses a magical charm given to her by a magical being and wears more than one outfit (something rare for the genre) throughout their magical adventures. They both incorporate slice-of-life into the story and focus on relationships. Uta Kata is aimed at a much older audience and has darker themes than Cardcaptor Sakura, though.

Both series have magical girl elements and involve a little girl with an overprotective older brother. The girl is naive but kind and a tsundere boy in the same class falls in love with her but has trouble expressing it. The boy also is in on the girl's magical secret and helps her out when she gets in trouble. There's also a larger ongoing plot that gets more complicated as the series goes on.

Classic shoujo manga from the 90s. Romance and magical girls abound.

Think only in terms of romance: Cardcaptor Sakura is a child-like plot that inspires you to believe in yourself. Kiss/Hug is a mature version that inspires you to grow apart to stand together. While reading Kiss/Hug, it made me think that if Sakura & Syaoran were older & in a more mature story, I'd hope for it to become like this. It'd be a great fanfic plot if you reverse the characters.

Cute magical girl series. CCS is more of a wholesome cuteness based around friendship and personal growth whereas TMM is a bit more manic, love- and adventure-based, so there's a nice sense of variety without straying from the genre.

Both are very cute stories about a girl with hidden powers and also have dreams that tell them their destinies. The characters are very similar... the level of romance and action is also pretty balanced. Basically, if you love one, you'll probably love the other.

Both magical school girls trying to save/help the world/friends. Where the main characters slowly fall in love with each other. Though the opposite CCS is boy falls in love first but Hime-chan is Girl falls first.

the main girls used to have a normal life until one day when they unexpectedly gain powers and find out some cards that will change their lifes, now to protect the world for some kind of evil they both need to go and collect all the cards before it gets too late. Both stories have this sweet and doki doki atmosphere that involves cute guys, romance, touching moments, comedy and a lot of exciting situations ;)

Both are mahou Shoujo, and the girls are about the same age!

Can't believe this wasn't recommended! Yep, the main couples remind me of each other a lot. Sana and Sakura - the hyper, constantly cheery main female. Hayama and Syaoran (don't they look alike?) - the serious guys who tend not to show too much emotion, but do display a soft side occasionally. Both have that intense "soulmates" feeling going on, also with a bit of a love-hate relationship at first, and a certain very important event that happens towards the end of Kodocha is also significant in CCS...

Both are mahou shoujo mangas with a young and strong main character.

Both have adorable kids in them. CCS and +A also have very child-like story-lines. They are both very enjoyable and well done!

They have similar plots and Yuuki and Sakura are very much alike. They're both sweet and good stories.
