What are some series where the anime is rated significantly higher than the source material?

I'd say a lot of them are rated higher due to more people trying it more because they prefer watching anime

@nachomaxo1 I don't know if it's because they prefer it or because it's easier to access anime in English than manga in English. In particular, it's a lot easier to browse for new anime than for manga.

How is Berserk anime rated higher than the manga?

The thread is not about which anime you rated higher than the manga but which anime have higher rating than the manga originals.

There is nothing hard about browsing manga in English, it might be just for you though.

Why would more votes result in a higher rating?

Seems reasonable to assume votes follow a somewhat normal distribution, with more votes potentially increasing the spread, but why would it change the average/mean?

@SanguineSeagull becaue they are often times based on how many users in total rated that certain series. For example let's take lupin III part 2 https://myanimelist.net/anime/1425/Lupin_III__Part_II this has the score of 7.77 rated by 13,172 users and if this had for example additional 7k users this would have 8.00 score.

The reason why some anime are higher rated than their source material because most people on mal watches only anime and if there would be more users rating manga this would be tie often times I think.
