| well, it definitely improved after the first few horrendous episodes. i'll give it a 4 but that's not so bad considering i had it at 1/10 for a majority of the episodes. next season is already announced sigh but i hope it gets better and so does production, cause it was really average this season. |

| From start to finish, I could not be more content with this adaptation. This anime really captured many of the things I like about the manga without being overly concerned with the fidelity of the translation. It really felt like it had its own unique take on the source material with a distinctive style, and I am am very much looking forward to second season. What a great experience. |
| This was probably my favorite episode of the show! Kana is a great character and I hope she'll get more screentime next season. The scene at school was really sweet too! As for the show as a whole: I didn't even plan to watch this. But since it aired early and the screenshot's looked fun, I picked it up to my already overflowing list for the season. However, it didn't really get beyond "something I picked cause I was bored". With originally 7 of my shows airing friday, I often ended up postponing this one for a week or two. That doesn't mean it was bad though! The comedic, yet realistic take on middle-school kids was very nice and the Chuunibyou X Kindergartener pairing was quite unique. However, I wasn't a fan of the pacing and the coordination between the genres. This show tries to succeed with 1) harsh, realistic display, 2) crazy, dirty comedy, 3) psychological aspects and 4) wholesome romcom all at once. Unfortunatly, this was too much to combine. It really lacked good supporting characters too. Kana just shows off how much that was missing for the first 11 episodes. Anna and Kyo are just docile to run the show all by themselves. All in all, a series that has very good attempts, but tries too much at once, and ends up having nothing to shine with. A rather forgettable watch in the stacked weekends of this season. A high 5/10 for me. I hope next season can build up on today's good episode. |

KANAAAAAA! BEST SISTER OF THE SEASON RIGHT THERE! She was such a great wingman to her little brother and the moment she noticed Yamada was into him was priceless xD Also loved how they both teased Ichikawa into saying Yamada's first name xD Seeing him between those two tall girls made him look like a shota lol  Oh and Yamada taking pictures of the year book photos right after apologizing for going through his stuff was too funny, like who does that sort of thing? xD (Maybe it was to get at him for having that magazine of her? Idk) Either way, I was almost expecting a confession at the end of the episode, but Ichikawa thanking Yamada for being his friend instead was almost a better way to end season 1 imo. Cannot wait for season 2 next year! These two are just so adorable together!! |

| The potential of this show is definitely unlimited! I still remember when I watched the Cyuunibyou male character in the first episode I was experiencing a so embarassed feeling. But now I am completely enjoying it and expecting the second season! The first part is about the New Year's shrine visit. So excited when I see Yamada was intrduced to Ichikawa's family. It gave me a feeling that they're going to get married soon lol. Thanks to Ichikawa's sister, Yamada and Ichikawa spent a fantastic period of time together. In the last minutes, Ichikawa opened his heart to yasashii Yamada. Great to see Ichikawa come out of the shadows and start to enjoy school. The beginning of a new semester, as the end of the show, really gives me great expectations. So next step is reading the manga and wait for the coming of winter 2024 !!! |

Great and loving romance, congratulations to the author for the development, can't wait for season 2.💕 I wonder if one day when they are married, if Ichikawa would have the courage to tell Yamada his first thoughts about her and what he envisioned doing with her... lol... | idk what to say, this anime is mediocre at the start but getting interesting on mid and peak at the end. Yamada and Ishikawa relationship from nobody until they caring each other is so cute. What a wholesome (subtext) Romance anime. Can't wait to watch the S2 on Winter 2024 |

| that was the cutest ending to season 1 possible. that whole scene from the charm to the hug singlehandedly convinced me to read the manga. i can't wait until january for season 2. i absolutely fell in love with this show and the characters and i need more ichikawa and yamada content asap. absolutely loved this show beginning to end. so glad i decided to watch it this season. |

| Wow, absolutely magnificent, the sister is so likeable and supportive. Yamada's confidence with engaging hangouts and conversations towards Ichikawa really changed him a lot, as he always compels himself to make efforts to engage things with her in order to avoid missing out and live every moment he could. As it reflects his year books, he had done nothing new, but this really made him take strides to change and accept his feelings even more for Yamada. It was such a warm touch at the end. And I am happpy that, I only have to wait 6 months for the next season of this anime. I am even considering on buying Japanese Blu-ray for this as well. |

Once they really get deeper to know each other, the confession will be even more impactful. |

| This was my favorite romcom of the season. Adorable airhead Anne was great throughout the series and in this episode. Her serious reactions when Kyoutaro's sister asked her to come over to their house and later on when they dropped off Kyoutaro at school were funny, but she is also kind of weird (in a cute way) such as taking pictures of Kyoutaro's yearbook right after getting flustered and eating snacks at random times. I liked how Kyoutaro and Anna grew closer together as the series went on and I was surprised at Anna's determination and the jealous moments but at the same time she was also bit dense at times. At the end of the day she was also pretty clever and calculated and all those traits made her unique. Even in this final episode she indirectly invited Kyoutaro over by offering him to see her yearbook. The character designs were fine and so was the art style and animation. I also liked the pacing even if it was a bit slow but the announcement of a second season should mean their relationship will progress. Overall I give this an 8/10. |
| Man this was such a sweet series. I thought Ichikawa would’ve been insufferable but the guy was rather adorable. Anyway, I’m so glad S2 is confirmed. Definitely my sleeper hit of the year so far |
| What an absolutely fantastic show. Definitely the best romcom of the season and best romcom of the year so far. If there's no more romcoms that comes out this year as good as this, then Bokuyaba is easily my pick for romcom of the year. Anna and Kyoutaro really made this show so special, their awkward personalities works so well and it gave us an experience that's not quite like other romcoms. We've got a likeable sidecast too, that I hope we see more of, especially Moeko and Kana. I am so happy that we immediately got a second season announcement and we only have to wait for 6 months, but 6 months or not, I ain't waiting, I am gonna read the manga lmao. Again, it was a pleasure watching this show and seeing Anna and Kyoutaro gradually become closer, fantastic show. 9/10 |

Angel Next Door was mediocre in all of it's assets, from piss poor animation (plenty of off model shots and actual bad animation cuts with disproportionate frames) to very bland art. The characters were just okay in what we would call the typical men fantasy (guy gets a girl who cooks and takes care of him for nothing, Ah My Goddess is also a great example of this). It was a very safe bet with very little meat behind both Shina and Amane aside from placing Shina as an unloved child in order to make the audience pull out their pitchforks and just awe at poor abandoned baby. The rest is incredibly cookie cutter light novel framework with a suave/cool teen acting as if he's in his late 20s. I'm not up to date with galaxy Next Door, because it really didn't have anything impressive in it's initial premise to keep me going. Yet again another men fantasy show like Ah My Goddesss where the mc is taken care off by a Mary Sue that almost came out of nowhere in order to serve him because of writer's convenience and add up some supernatural element because, why not? Yamada-kun is ok, but it's incredibly slow in it's progression not to mention it pads up scenes that could take literally seconds into almost half an episode. The animation ranges from average to barely enough due to tons of panning shots and sometimes very weak color choices for scenes. The cast is definitely the thing that carries the show so far, but I still doubt it's going to get as much praise as BokuYaiba has gathered so far with it's runtime all the way to it's finale. |

| Gotta be honest, I did not expect this to be my anime of the season. Yamada is so cute and her seiyuu Youiya Hina absolutely nailed it. Season 2 will be peak. |

| What a final episode yamada meets kyoutaro sister and she and her are becoming good friends to seem. So at the final this was so wholesome and cute this was a really good romcom series. |
