Separate Manga and LN lists

Anime-Planet has a Webtoon database and Light novel database. For visual novels, there's VNDB.

At least you can search LNs thru 'Top Light Novels' here in MAL or use the 'Advanced Search' by ticking 'Light Novel'. In AniList, you can filter 'Light Novel' as the format when searching or on your manga list. In Anime-Planet, they have tags like 'Light Novel', 'Web Novel' and 'Webtoons' so you can use those to filter your manga list.

Anyways, you can enable 'Type' on your Manga List Settings here in MAL (go to List). Click on the 'Type' tab on your manga list so it can be sorted to 'Manga', 'Light Novel', 'One-shot', 'Doujinshi', 'Manhwa' and 'Manhua'. But the labels are not clickable nor are they searchable on the list's built-in search bar. However, you can always use 'Ctrl+F'.

You can also use the 'Tags' and add Light Novel, LN, Novel or whatever tag you like (especially upon adding something on your list; it'll be easier that way). So when you click that tag you'll have a link with all the LNs in your manga list or you can easily search your list by typing the tag on the search bar or using 'Ctrl+F'. You can also enable 'Notes' and note if an entry is an LN, that way it will display beneath the titles so you'd know whether an entry in your list is an LN or not.

Well, when you hover over the favorites on the 'Manga' section it'll show whether a favorite is a 'Light Novel' or 'Manga' including the publish date and title. On the 'Manga' section of the 'Favorites' page, 'Light Novel' or 'Manga' including publish date are shown beneath an entry's title. However, you'd have to arrange it so that the types aren't all over the place. I checked your favorites and it looks like you arranged them so LNs and Manga are somewhat separated. Maybe a toggle similar to the 'Type' toggle in anime and manga lists will do if MAL ain't keen on separating the LNs from the anime and manga sections?

There're only about 1000 light novels whose number of members is bigger than 1000, obviously few people are enamored of this medium. I don't see why it should be called laziness or lack of concern. If light novel deserves a separate list, Manhwa and Manhua ought to be so. And that's what I mean when saying dilute the page. Do you want to see your page with 10 Anime on fav list but only 1 in Manga list and 1 in LN list? This just looks tedious at best.

Then why do we already have 2 tabs? They can combine manga together with anime if the goal is to have the fewest tabs possible.
