Yeah.. I must've lost count how much queerbait they've announced these past few weeks..

Still not sure who this is for exactly.. Viewers have repeatedly told them they don't wish to be baited.. To either give them real representation or don't bother showing up with crumbs..

You mistake western viewrs who are not the target audience and actual JP target audience who prefers baits, regretfully.

No, I'm not and yes they are..

You're assuming that I'm speaking exclusively about 'western' viewers.. Disregarding viewers from over a hundred countries.. For some reason.. I wonder why that is..

And why would you posit that overseas (or following your argument, specifically 'western') viewers aren't a target audience for the Japanese animation industry..? When in fact, overseas viewers make up more than half of the industry's revenue..

Coupled with the fact that industry people have stated the importance of the overseas market and expressed a strong interest in knowing what overseas viewers like.. See for example this recent interview over at ANN..

I guess I'm somewhat interested to know how you came to that conclusion.. Perhaps you've spoken to (a large number of) Japanese queer and straight viewers who watch (implicit) BL.. Have they specifically told you they prefer queerbait over (good) queer representation..

Or perhaps you can point to audience research..

It still baffles me how weabs thinks that Japanese market is not the No.1 priority.

Yes. All works are made for Japanese auditorium, not for people outside Japan.
