It has never been explored is real answer. We have not seen much of any uchiha's partner (other than Sakura) to speak of in the series. Even sasuke's parents was very less explored in compared to few other character's parents. But his mom has a sharigan in non canon spin off

Nope. No where, in any source does it suggest sasukes parents were brother and sister. Not even a shred of a hint. Nothing suggests that anywhere.

To throw a link in this theory there is another clan, the Fuma, that are seen as cousins to the Uchiha. They are essentually Uchiha that lack Sharingan and new members of the Uchiha are likely sourced from Fuma. Thus providing plenty of admixture. Not all Uchiha have, or get, the Sharingan. They just COULD if they were in a serious enough scenario. There wouldn't be any difference between an Uchiha without Sharingan and a Fuma clan member.

Further, what happens to Uchiha who are removed from the clan but still have the bloodline? What happens if they awaken Sharingan? Well in the case of Itachis supposed wife, Izumi, her mother married a non Uchiha and they stopped living with the clan. Its unclear but after the father dies, she awakens Sharingan, and the clan bring them back in. NOW its not clear at all if they were removed BECAUSE the father, or if they simply just joined his clan which makes sense, like Chojis wife becoming Akimichi. And its not clear if they bring her back because the father is dead, or if the daughter awakening Sharingan makes her an uchiha again.

So there's no reason to think the "Uchiha" are just "Sharingan sensitives" and there are plenty of Uchiha genes and related family within and without, and there is some sort of selection process to "join" Uchiha.

For a second pretend the uchiha never died and Sarada happens anyway. Does sakura join Uchiha? There is no reason to suggest intermarriage invalidates Uchiha status, because Izumi was an uchiha AFTER BEING REMOVED and having half blood status, with Sharingan. Half bloods can thus be uchiha but its unclear. In general, they need to be Sharingan senstivie it seems, making it a sort of elite military hierarchy almost. Basically, the Uchiha are a warrior caste, and like most warrior castes have a selective process of joining that is pseudo inherited but pseudo skill based.

Most Uchiha never possessed other Kekkei Genkai, so I assume they only married and raised children within their clan or we would see kids with two different eye types or using other Kekkei Genkai abilties. The creator himself said that if a Uchiha and Byakugan user has children the child would have a sharingan and byakugan eye.

Yes, but I think “clan” doesn’t always meen that they are connected by blood and that they are actual family…Clan can actually mean a group of people who live together, has similar goals, similar abilities, were raised together etc.
Of course they did because Izumi was an Uchiha, and she was Itachi’s girlfriend. And even though it wasn’t explained that Mikoto was an Uchiha, I think by her appearance we could tell that she was Uchiha too. I don’t think it was a disgrace to marry someone from another clan, but you know, if someone is 100% blood then they have better abilities, especially as Uchiha have sharing an and fire techniques. Same goes with Hyuuga clan…
And even if they are all familiar, they are not very close family. In elder families in history it was popular to marry your sister for example, so compared to this, it’s not a problem at all. And I heard at some point Hinata and Neji’s family wanted them to marry each other, and they were cousins…I think the same goes for Uchiha to save their abilities.

Yeah that was pretty much the only way, the blood line certainly had to delude after Indra though so it’s possible that the clans only started intermarrying hundreds of years later, Making it substantially less weird.
