Recently I discovered the title Servant x Service and decided to check its' opening. I was pleasantly surprised how visually creative it was. It combines reality, 2D and 3D in a pleasant way. The song is also great.

It also reminded me of Hina Logi opening, which used stop motion of paper cutouts.

What other shows have such approach when it comes to the opening (or the ending)? Doesn't have to even blend mediums, it can just be visually appealing to you.

Openings for anime based on Mari Yamazaki's manga look weird. They also always seem to use 19th century operas for the music.

I always though the OP from "Subete ga F" was visually quite unique:

Edit: And of course the OPs from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - especiall the first one:

LMAO. I totally forgot they just straight up used food.

Still rewatching that time to time, great song and beautiful composition.

It combines generations of art styles, wow. I really need to get back to watching Monogatari.

Really love that one also. Song is catchy. Visuals play a little bit with the plot and are really expressive.

I have watched this one about hundred times for the visuals alone. The ending of that show also was great, but doesn't stand a chance to the opening.

I love Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu openings, especially the first one because there's something in the song, similar to a clock's tick-tack and the opening transitions match the tick-tack in the beginning
If you're a fanboy, please don't waste my time.

Watch more movies, please.

Perhaps, this is hell.

I never noticed that before you said that. It's great when the animators include the rhythm into the visuals.

The 2nd season's "Lyricure Go Go!" is quite the funny opening.

Assasins' Pride opening is so dynamic and cool. The song is also catchy.

Opening of Summertime Render really reflects the shows atmosphere and has really creative visuals. I love everything about it.

The second OP for Mob Psycho 100 is definitely something I'd call visually creative

They make use of a lot of really interesting things... you kind of have to see it to understand

im always mesmerized by the 3rd OP for LOGH. not strictly just in terms of the animation quality, but more of how symbolic it is.

reinhard's apathetically walking all over the universe but only opens his eyes to acknowledge his bitter rival at the end.

highly recommend the show for anyone who hasn't seen it btw.
