Vinland Saga
| First what is the meaning of well written character? So,I'm explaining in simpler term If character beliefs define his action then I think character is well defined or written altho there are things like character devlopment and how impactful is the past of that certain character are also consider major element in defining a charcter but still i think the decision and actions in a complicated sitution tells how much impactfull that certain character is No doubt about this its Askeladd in my opinion |

| In Vinland Saga so far it's undoubtedly Askeladd. I just caught up with the anime in the manga so don't know Thorfinn might even surpass him later on.From other animes(since u asked) I wanna name Lelouch, Light Yagami, some of the zodiac members from Fruits Basket,Itachi, Hachiman,Pain, Kakashi. I'm interested in Eren Yeager coz of his popularity but am yet to watch AOT,heard he's well written though. |

| When it comes to choosing a best-written character I'd say it's Thorfinn Karlsefni from Vinland Saga, saying this as an anime watcher and manga reader. The building of is his character is just sublime in every way possible. |

| Vinland Saga is full for well written and fun characters but one of my personal favorites is Askeladd. It's hard to consider him an antagonist since he is also one of the primary protagonists. What I like about him is easily the way he is written in the show. He could be a moustache twirling villain who threatens to kill someone for his own amusement, but then all of a sudden, reveals a part of him that changes our view of him like how despite him leading an army of Danes, he in reality despises them and doesn't consider them to be warriors. Askeladd is one of my favorite antagonists out of any anime I've seen and every scene he's in he completely takes the spotlight. |

| Thorfinn is by far the best written character in the series, 2nd is Askeladd. (this mf is still somewhat relevant for Thorfinn even after 100ch since his death). |

Truly this revenge redemption story is different from generic revenge stories. You should definitely read the manga, because I trust the manga more than Mappa. |

Yes Askellad is undoubtedly very good written character, but you will change ur own opinion after reading the Slave Arc. |
