I didn't cry either. I still think it's worth watching so long as you're enjoying it.

episode 18 is one of the most powerful moments in anime history. Let us know what you think when you get there.

I would suggest ignoring everyone in this thread and just keep watching as long as you're enjoying it. Trying to force the expectation of specific emotional responses only dampens the overall experience. You'll cry if it means that much to you and if you don't, shedding tears isn't the only way to maximize the emotional impact.

The show is mid. I didn’t see myself crying either, because I went to sleep. The only thing that this anime can move is your sleep schedule. Not your heart. No tears needed fam.

I finished it 4 months later. It still was mid. And I still went to sleep. So my “opinion” is ABSOLUTE.

Trust me, you will cry soon. And you will cry hard. Just don't try to endure it. It feels better to cry on such a show.
WISHED I COULD ALSO GET TRANSPORTED TO A WORLD FULL OF MAGIC And DUNGEONS, please take me there too if you could ( ◜‿◝ )

If I remember correctly you did post about sad anime asking for recommendations right?
Clannad After Story will hit,its just that it's gonna take episode 18 onwards to hit it for real
And its okay if you didn't cry, just because you didn't cry to something doesn't mean it isn't sad for you,it probably is sad but you just can't let it out externally that sadness.

I cried more after I finished the show. I teared up a little while watching it but it hits hard when you have your headphones in one day and the OST comes on. I broke down in tears just listening to the soundtrack. Which makes it THE best soundtrack in all of anime imo.

Episode 1 made me cry the first time I watched this, I think it was around the intro. 😁
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I know, right? The flower field scene! Tearing up is an appropriate response. I've never broke down in tears at anime either actually.

The last few episodes are the ones that should make you at the very least feel really sad. I cried my ass off though and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I see you've already finished it, but if I could speak to your past self, I would probably tell you that it's in these episodes where sh!t goes down:

I'm still going through Clannad myself, but looking at these numbers, you can pretty much make a well educated guess on where the waterworks will start flowing.
