| I love AOT so much that i think it was the turning point of me becoming a full on anime fan, but then everytime i watch another shonen anime (like jujutsu kaisen) they always reek of nerdiness. I recently watch jjk 0 and omg im so embarrassed! the nerdiness was overflowing, the jokes, the salmon jokes, the meaningful dialogue after every 2 seconds of fighting, and the power of friendship in the end lmaooooo. I want something more like Eren killing white haired dude in the middle of a speech and not waiting for cable titan to fully transform before beating her up, and aot overall attitude of "fuck your shounen trope" along the way. Will chainsaw man be like that? i dont wanna spoil myself with the manga in case this will be another awesome masterpiece.. idk i just love anime but if the anime cater too much towards otaku i just cant help but cringe _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: Some people seems to mistake this thread as a CSM hate and that's not true, i really WANT CSM to be good, especially after i saw this teaser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6f7BZjnjSM4 this teaser is soooo good it got my heart racing, my blood pumping, it screams awesomeness!!! but i dont want to be deceived by pretty pictures like when i first saw jujutsu kaisen's trailer. (I blame MAPPA for always making an anime look good even if the story.... not so good). And cut me some slack guys, when i made this thread i just finished watching jjk 0 in the cinema with my non-anime-fan friends thinking that would open their eyes towards anime greatness (other than AOT) (They all the netflix anime-only watchers and they all obsessed with AOT), and everyone.... HATED IT, that was traumatizing JUJUTSU KAISEN RUINED MY LIFE!!!! lol |

| I've read 30 chapters of csm so far so let me comment on this on the stuff I've read till now I can say that it's pretty different to aot. the atmosphere is pretty similar to jjk though imo csm doesn't really look like a proper shounen,there is no power of friendship so far,the main character is pretty different from ur average good guy shounen protag. if I were to explain the protagonist,it's like if issei from highschool dxd was poor and got isekai'd into jjk, yeah it's like that,bt the MC is a bit less degenerate than issei |

| CSM is just a full on edgefest but atleast it's better than the two garbage you mentioned. Edit - Regarding "nerdiness", CSM is way more "nerdy" than JJK. |

| I read the manga and it is nothing like AOT, sorry to disappoint. I believe CSM was actually inspired by JJK, mainly with the worldbuilding and a bit of the plot in the first half or so. But CSM is darker, the characters are very different from JJK's (except Aki who is basically Fushiguro with a topknot), and the ending is amazing. I strongly recommend you give it a try with an open mind. No it's not like AOT but it doesn't have to be in order to be a good shounen. |
