At this point, the confession scene isn't gonna feel rewarding AT ALL. You can fuck off author.

Salty salty thread here, but I thought this was a masterpiece of a chapter.

To me, it is so obvious at this point that Chizuru just doesn't want to date Kazuya. She doesn't feel any ill will towards him or anything, but she's just doing her best to untangle their situation while handling his boiling emotions.
Painful to admit, but she just doesn't love him that way.

I don't call when this manga is going to end, but I have a feeling that Kazuya and Chizuru aren't gonna be together. The author will probably give us all some moral of the story about not falling in love with women who sell love as a service - which is absolutely correct - and Kazuya will end up with Ruka or even Mami under the right circumstances.

Believe me, I didn't want to call something so Gloom & Doom-like especially over this story - which got me into reading manga in the first place - but I just don't have other explanations to Chizuru's behavior.

If there was any good time for Kazuya to give a confession - and even more so, for Chizuru to receive one - this was pretty much it. Chizuru is high IQ, we saw lots of evidence for that during the story. It's not like she's stupid not to understand it that becoming Kazuya's actual girlfriend will dismiss all their problems. Yet, she decided to stop him dead in his tracks and run off to extinguish the latest fires Mami has just ignited.

That's not love.
That's not caring for Kazuya.
That's a woman who sells love as a service on another day of work.

As much as I would like the manga to go through the “happy ending” route where Kazuya and Chizuru dated for real and all their problems got solved, everything you said made a lot of sense. If the author decided to pull off this type of ending instead I wouldnt be too disappointed.

The way I see it, Chizuru hasn't fully started to like Kazuya. But within her lie a lot of suppressed emotions and feelings towards him. The reason the confession is taking so long is because Reiji wants Chizuru to confess, rather than Kazuya.
That's the purpose of the Nagomi and Mizuhara talk. "You have a family right here" stuff.

""The author will probably give us all some moral of the story about not falling in love with women who sell love as a service""

I cannot, for the life of me, for the life of my loved ones, for the sake of our planet, imagine a situation where this happens. I have never once felt the story say anything similar to this in the 200+ chapters I have read it for. Romcom manga don't have a Moral value at the end...
Mizuhara doesn't even sell "love" and blah blah blah I know I'm boring u.

I don't wanna argue about the actual moral itself in that case where it actually happens (even tho u can argue about the rights of sex workers and stuff) but If Reiji does this, it would be wasting literally hundreds of chapters worth of developments.

That's exactly what she does. Essentially, she's an emotional hooker. I'm not gonna argue about the morals either, because it doesn't really matter.
I'm okay with prostitution in all forms, by the way. I don't look down on them so I don't think Chizuru is doing anything wrong. Just to make it clear that I'm not biased against her.

Maybe you're right though about the author wanting Chizuru to do the confession. I really hope Kazuya finally has a breakdown and cuts it with Chizuru on his own and make her pursue him, for a change. Would be a nice character development, for him.

Well well well... How the turn tables... Who could've guessed another chapter would go like this?

I've seen other people talking about it, and I'm doing the same. By now, I'm just skimming through the chapters to see if anything is gonna happen at all.

I won't even bother buying newer volumes. Not worth it.

Damn. How annoying man

She's cut him off SO many times at this point

And they BOTH KNOW what he's trying to say. So like, he's basically confessed already?? Idk man the author has ruined the emotional climax a little bit. I hate to jump on the bandwagon but still.
