I read both works, to be honest I prefer Mushoku Tensei (because the story is finished with a good ending) but I also really like Rezero

I found the interview session of the two authors on a web and I finally found a more detailed explanation about them

1.they inspire each other's work, tappei (author rezero) is inspired by the popularity of mushoku tensei (if you are looking for web novel ratings, it often ranks high on syosetu), and rifujin (author mushoku tensei) inspired by tappei written stiles, he even uses it in the last volume and you'll understand if you've read it.

2.The two of them plus the author Konosuba are friends when their work is published, they meet in writers' forums and they discuss each other's works, they even schedule their works such as mushoku tensei which is released at night, rezero at midnight, and konosuba during the day

So, We'd better stop comparing other people's work, and better stop using the "grandfather of isekai genrei" title

This is the thread i was waiting for. Yes both re zero and MT are great in their own ways. And people has their own preference to which work is better.

I believe on what you are saying.
We have a manga collab for Rezero and MT, think it is for manga volume with Orsted, so vol9 or 10, but Subaru shows up on Rudeous world, and they both teammate to try to survive the events of said arc from the original story, very funny.

While it was posted on the manga, it is mostly like a chapter of a LN, it is clear that both writers know and like each other works.

It's an original chapter that only exist in the manga, you can think of as manga only bonus story. There's also few other bonus story in each volume such as, Sylphy Father's POV, Eris Father's POV, Ghysaline story after she left Paul's party and how she met Boreas Family etc...

They will, kinda, lol.

I'm 1000% sure that Mushoku Tensei will be added to the next season of Isekai Quartet, so we will have some interaction of Rudeus & cia chibis with Re:Zero characters an others.

Mushoku Tensei x Re:Zero Crossover

That is solely the manga omake part though, there are like 10-20 pages before or after that, for that volume of the official manga release.
