Which opening is best?
| The title says it all which opening from all the installments in the Toaru Franchise do you think is best. I will probably update this when the 2nd Railgun T opening comes out. I'm gonna have to be basic and say Only my Railgun. The song is so catchy and in my opinion is most iconic song in all of Toaru. Also the opening's visuals are amazing. |

| I only watched Railgun but it definitely will have to be Level 5 -judgelight- for me. The song is super catchy I feel like crying lol. I thought there's no way Railgun can have better op than Only My Railgun but boy I was wrong. |

| I always liked all of the Railgun OPs (Level 5 Judgelight prob.my favorite) From Index i only liked S3 OPS(not really the animation part,more the music) until i read the NT a rewatched S1 & S2. S1 OPs both have such an amazing lyrics that depicts the Series and Touma as MC. But in the Accelerator OP is my favorite. Good animation,amazing music and perfect lyrics to depict Accelerator. Without a doubt my favorite lyrics in all of anime OPs and in my Top 3 Anime OP Songs...! |

| I am really surprised seeing Accelerator OP is winning by a considerable margin. I like most of them, but my favorite is two OPs from Kawada Mami (Psi Missing and No Buts). |

| I really like Only My Railgun. The visuals of all Railgun OP are really good. I don't like the songs that follow OP1 very much because it shows the self-plagiarism of Fripside. Nice lyrics tho, they completely fit each arc. Index openings are basic. There is too much stuff to show, so they can't get very creative. But Mami's songs are exotic as always and the lyrics, very meaningful. Instrumentals are rad. Season 3 op1 was okay (visuals were poor). ROAR was pure hype the first time I watched it, but it grew old quickly due to not updating itself accordingly to the events that transpire. Accelerator OP imo has the most fitting song, it never gets old to me. The visuals are the laziest here, and the way LO runs cutely during the raging chorus part is hilarious. So idk which one to vote, as there is no clear favorite. OMR was the most likely choice for me... |

I think AoT OP 1,2 and 3, though similar, had their distinct quirks. The first opening was frenetic and blood-boiling. Second opening was kinda broody but still heroic. Third opening (Season 2 op) had SASEGAYO, and that's all I have to say. OP4 (Season 3 1st opening) sounded great to me. It fitted the arc more or less, and I liked it. So there is no parallel I can draw with the Railgun openings using the same instrumentals, tone and mood. Ofc Opening 5 of AoT is the one that seemed like a mishmash of certain two earlier openings, and it felt the weakest to me. Here, I can draw a parallel to Railgun... |

| Best Railgun OP - Only My Railgun (the most iconic OP in all Toaru OP's) but my personal favorite is Sister's Noise from Railgun S because on how badass Mugino and Misaka visually in that OP. Best Index OP - PSI-Missing (Index OP 1) idk but the feels of the song and theme really suit for Index. My personal favorite is No Buts i love the beat of the song. |

My favorites now are: Railgun - Sister's Noise and Final Phase but I have so much love for Only My Railgun because not only it's an awesome OP but also the one that reminds me of how my love for this series started many years ago. | 2nd time posting on this thread. Wow, Sister's Noise is really popular. I personally don't find the song special or impactful. The chorus is a bit boring. At first I dislike it, then it grew on me. Now I'm just neutral to it. It's good to listen once in a while but I probably would never get attached to it. But now I see other fans liking it, and I'm like ๏︿๏ don't get me wrong I'm perfectly fine with other people liking the song, it's just kinda awkward when a song you don't really like that much is very popular among other fans (￣▽￣) but yea I understand everyone have different taste, be it anime or music. Anywayss after listening to all Toaru Majutsu no Index's openings, I can conclude most of the openings are masterpieces. My favourite is See visionS although PSI-missing come in close second followed by Masterpiece and No Buts respectively. Roar is a very hyping song, it's good but for some reason I couldn't put it above the rest of Mami Kawada's songs. Let's just say I'm biased. Ok that was long if you read from start to end you're awesome ฅ'ω'ฅ |

| Not a big fan of Railgun openings (and fripSide in general) except for Railgun S1 OP2 (LEVEL 5 -judgelight-) which I find really good. On the other hand, I love almost every Index opening, my favorite being Index S2 OP2 (See visionS). Watching Touma running toward the sunset still brings me goosebumps. ROAR, Gravitation & No Buts are also some pretty damn good openings and songs. S1 are still good but doesn't resonate as much as S2 & S3 songs. The opening of the Accelerator spin-off is also quite good. See visionS > ROAR > No Buts > LEVEL 5 -judgelight- > Gravitation > Shadow is the Light > Masterpiece > PSI-missing > Every other Railgun opening. |
| As dog shit as Index III was, I can’t help but say Roar (2nd OP) has been my favorite out of a group of absolute banger OPs. The OP had me pretty hyped up for what was an utter dissapointment. |
