rape or ntr, whatever, but why we must have each last season some pseudo hentai inserts or whole series in which sex is the only motive, if they want so much, just make hentai, not add some shitty exaggerated scene, just for some shitty "shock value", only to leave disgusted viewers, and waste good seiyuu. |

I think the comparison of Alexis and her being romeo and juliet are right, even if they do end up together they will likely be dead shortly after. This episode was repugnant, it was the point to be so, to claim some deeper meaning over the hard choices rulers make or some bullshit, but its lost over the fact that it does not even show why they are fighting or what the difference between the two factions even are, its all just a lame excuse. But yeah last week people said they were looking forward to the rageposts so kudos to you guys, me I am looking forward to watching the rapey guy get killed, I just hope its slow. You , I like the way you think , maybe it's stupid and non-logic scene but it will taste better when that guy get killed. |

So instead of agreeing to peace .. marrying the guy you yourself chose.. and love* (those tears alone sheesH) you choose war.. and more or less get force fucked? Is this woman retarded? Im sorry but she seems like her IQ and Judgement ability must have sunk into a black hole when she lost her father. She could have made all the choices to peacefully unify but chooses this outcome instead? I expected some dark/crazy/silly-stupid stuff since this is the same author who did RoLW but it never had a ruler whos going to be a clear MC till the end of the series (not one who isnt a clear antagonist) be this .. bleh and stupid. you got it all right. AbattoirRat said: DGemu said: AbattoirRat said: GreenEmu said: Jesus those last few minutes. They made that scene pretty explicit. To be honest I felt disgusted watching it. It felt like fan service at the cost of character development. I'm confused what the ending scene meant to convey. I could see her throwing her virginity away, tarnishing herself in a "point of no return" kind of way to sever her feelings, to focus on her goals, but in this way? It just felt like sloppy writing. There was room for debauchery and character development, but on a whim? It wasn't even a condition for their alliance. He just asked and she said okay. And I know this goes beyond anime logic, but yes, please, lets strip defenseless in front of the assassin who currently works for my enemy. TL; DR - The sex was pointless and hurt the show. It was basically a test from Milza. Its common knowledge that Marrine and Alexis were to marry, and he was seeing if she loves Alexis and won't go all the way through with her methods she just showed to unite the crests. But the thing is, theres like no other person shown who has the volition to unite all the crests with the means to an end attitude that Milza wants, so I'm pretty sure Milza would've temporarily joined them anyways or at the very least introduce a new person with that attitude or the guy just decides to do it himself. Worst case scenario, he would attempt to kill her if she refused and take her crest (which would've been interesting to me to show if this princess actually has some power or physical might). This scene just comes off as for the shock value and it was hilarious to me. Its seemingly worked judging by some comments lol First, I loved this show, it was smart, I still like it but... If it was a test, I say she failed. He wants someone strong to follow, but why follow someone so weak willed that they would give up self respect without repercussion? It's honestly an oxymoron, "I want to follow someone strong, submit to me." Shock value still needs to work within boundaries. It would be shocking if aliens came and deus ex machina a pivotal battle, but that would be terrible writing. This scene was terrible writing, made worse without explanation. Lastly, if your shock value causes a drop epidemic, you did it wrong. Definitely agreed. It was just all of a sudden and stupid when I try to make sense of it. I had this inappropriate smile in my face and bursted out laughing when the sex scene happened. At first, I thought he was agreeing to join her since he kneeled, but then the maid got offended and I was like "wait what is happening?" Then they go and explicitly enact the deed in such grandeur. Reacted the same with the molesting scene in SAO's 2nd arc. |

It happened and now it's time to move on... Will she be changed because of this? She's shown repeated throughout the series so far that she still cares for Alexis, but she gave her body away without even a second thought, that has to play on her conscious. She didn't even think about it, she just said yes... After that she has to have a change in personality or character. If nothing changes for her, for better or worse, then she's as heartless and 1 dimensional as we all think she is and I'll stop caring about it. |

For some reasons I want Alexis to die right in front of her by Milza so she can feel bad and regret her worst decision of her life. Seriously ntr only work in hentai. Strong will princess who want to unite the crest, get fuck by enemy. How would her people react if they know she gave up her body, lose self respect to the enemy? |

Everyone keeps saying rape, not taking into account that Marrine is just a trash slut who gave consent. She was literally given the complete freedom of choice and she made it. I felt disgusted watching it, but I didnt feel bad for her in the slightest. She's straight up been a bitch from the get-go. They tried to play on the viewer's feelings the other week when they had the back story episode with her and Alexis falling in love, but it doesn't really do much when you know who she really is as a character. If anything you just feel bad for Alexis because you know he's just a genuinely nice guy trying to make peace, and he fell in love with some whore who will do LITERALLY ANYTHING to make herself look strong in front of her peers. This woman turned down an alliance with Theo and his massive territories. Turned down the peace agreement between the Union and started going on a conquest, and broke their military code and just committed straight up attrition on a fort of incapacitated soldiers. And then they try to toss in the pity card at the end there? "Oh she's willing to do anything to win and is even sacrificing her body and tossing aside Alexis while crying because she "loves" (obviously doesnt know the meaning of the word) him?" Please. She had freedom of choice, she chose to toss away her morals and turn into a tyrant slut. And Alexis can do, and deserves way better anyway. There she was sitting on that throne saying "Oh i wonder what Alexis would think if he hears about this"...well he'd probably think you're a disgusting piece of shit monster, but he's TOO nice a guy so he'd still probably forgive you; and that was before you fucked a dude for military strength. *Groooooooooaaaaaannnnnn* *sigh* At least Theo and Siluca are doings things right. They're even more worth watching now especially after their direct scene. AlchemicGhoul22 said: I’m sorry but can someone explain the logic behind what Marrine is doing in this series, pretty much none of her actions make sense. Nobody can explain it, because Marrine is basically a chimpanzee with downs syndrome that part times as a hooker. She was about to get married, and then when the two factions leading lords were killed, she basically gave into peer pressure and feared marriage because an incredibly super tiny small amount of conspirators opposed the marriage. Then as quickly as flipping a light switch she decided that going full tyrant and conquering the whole continent was the only optimal solution, with a process of subjugating and killing everyone who says otherwise. Meanwhile Alexis is the polar opposite and just wanted peace and a union between the two factions; essentially just continuing the marriage and the plan of peace that was supposed to come from that. For absolutely no reason whatsoever, Marrine thought that made her look weak (despite being ready to go through with the marriage just beforehand). Honestly everything with Theo, Villar and the Union is just written and executed so much better than the shit show that is anything Marrine and Alliance related it's almost like its two shows mashed into one. With one half being relatively enjoyable and the other almost unwatchabley bad. |

Marrine is about as nonsensical as she can get. She never made much sense but they are really forcing the tragic heroine, she could have married Alexis is she really wanted. Instead lets start a war, become unnecessarily cruel and fuck for temporary and questionable allies while she cries for Alexis. Why did she agree so easily? Being leader of the alliance should have her driving a harder bargain. She was supposed to be a cruel unbending leader yet she bends so easily to the will of Milza who was already wanting to join the alliance. She probably could have gotten the same loyalty without giving her body. Dumb ass and inconsistent character. |

Finalitius said: The last two episodes really stepped it up in terms of overall impact - was actually about to drop it since the first 7 episodes were really "meh", and the world building wasn't too effective. Thought I'd post here after seeing all the butthurt from whatever happened this episode. Is Marianne a whore? Definitely not. Why? Because she was forced into that position by circumstance, did she have a choice? In terms of her goal of reunifying the whole country, probably not. There shouldn't be any deus ex machina bullshit that offers a magical solution where everyone is happy, this work isn't about that. Ep 8 built up the romeo-juliet like thing between Marianne and Alexis just so that last few minutes of Ep 9 will be that much more heartbreaking. Marianne is a respectable character, she did what she needed to do for her goals, she made the choice between her family honor and Alexis. Sure, it's more beautiful to throw away a whole country for someone you love, romantic - sure, but that's not her character AT ALL. Alexis has conquered her heart through his gentleness. He has melted her cold and ruthless exterior and reach into her maiden heart, and no one can take away from that. In terms of virginity or whatnot, that is nothing in comparison to unification, and finally end up as empress and emperor with Alexis. Did I enjoy those last few minutes? Definitely not, I love Marianne and I'm also a sucker for all Kayano Ai characters. Hopefully we'll see some epic death for the edgelord "I love war/ I only follow the strong", or a insignificant one - suitable for the scum that he is. I beg to differ. She probably could have gotten him on her side even if she didn't have sex for it. The dude was already going against Villar by his own will. Even not knowing this if she denied the request I'm sure the conversation would have ended in her favor. |

Thing is if I actually cared then this scene would hit me.. Marrine is an idiotic asshole on top of being a poorly written character trying to play the "tragic heroine". Ugh, as much as I hate how the ending was and how much it made me cringe, I gotta hand it to them for being able to rile up our emotions like this. I did not feel absolute hatred for Marrine. If anything, it was disturbing yet sad because of the buildup to that scene, with the two servant girls crying, the slow undressing of Marrine's clothes, the nasty look on the dude's face, and the story of Alexis and Marrine's love. Even the contrast of this scene to the happiness in Leo and Siluca's scene in the beginning, overall not a bad delivery. (NGL, part of me still wishes I could erase some of that last scene out of my mind though xD) |

I'm flabbergasted by this episode. The focus on lewdness is insane. Not even To LOVE Ru or DxD managed to ever get as lewd as this episode got, and I'm an Ecchi fan, so I should know :P The focus on Theo and Siluca at the beginning was also quite forced to be honest, they could have mapped it out better. Still, good that they didn't do the confession at the end of the series and instead did it really early. Good call. On the other hand SOMEONE BETTER GODDAMN TELL ALEXIS ABOUT THIS |

Not sure why everyone is hating on this. He only did it because he knew she still loved him, doing this to her only showed him that she was resolute on going on a military campaign. Going through with a marriage again seems awfully silly as well, despite many people here seemingly wishing for it. We saw a demon lord being summoned and no one knows who did it, with two archdukes dying. Just saying 'second times the charm, can't go wrong aye lmao', is not a realistic way to handle it. Also it is clearly not rape as it was consensual, she did it to have him on her side and he is a good asset. |

She's seen as a leader in name only, so her trying to make peace without the full backing of the other loads, was highly unlikely to happen, especially after the Union ATTACKED and seized two-three pieces of Alliance territory. Agreeing to peace after that attack would have made her look incredibly weak, and would have probably only led to Alliance lords rebelling in mess against her rule. |

I dunno about you guys but what I got from the episode was the contrast between 1. A person who actually chooses the right path and A person who consistently decides on the wrong one. 2. A person who lets his heart do the decision making and a person who let's the mind do the thinking. As we can see,Theo chose Siluca over the peerage/power which he has in his grasp while Marinne chose the empty throne and unloyal allies over Alexis. |

So I heard some shit was going down in this show after I dropped it back in week 5, feeling curious I decided to marathon the last 4 eps to see what was going on and boy gotta love the NTR out of nowhere (not). Seriously though, I'm just gonna be the guy to say I feel nothing for the parties involved. Alexis' love story with Marrine is nice and sweet and all but man...dude is just way too beta for his own good. He's too much of a White Knight type of person. Although trying to mend the world with kindness and love is commendable, he is immensely naive when it comes to how the world he currently lives in works. He's trying to avoid war and entertain peace when war is the only path to peace at this point in time. On the other hand as a stark contrast, we see Marrine taking the ruthless path doing whatever it takes and sacrificing all morals to get to her goals in this time of war and it's basically eating away at her. Now she's facing pretty much the beginning of her hell with that scene. Distasteful as it may be, this episode and the last one pretty much effectively demonstrated the stark contrast in the two sides clashing in this war. But honestly, almost right off the bat I've hated Marrine so good riddance. This may be disturbing and all that for a majority of the people watching this but for me, I hope the bitch gets an even darker outcome for her actions down the road. FOW treatment when? |

i was confused seeing those wise people who think themselves to be adult by insulting those comments as childish and stuff, who gave them the rights to insult a such comments? Those so called childish comments doesn't seem to personally insult those wise people and they got triggered by it anyway anyways, i do love the moments between theo and siluca, thats just sweet, i even got overcarried by those romantic moments until.. marrine's decision in previous episode was so warm until the half of this one by showing a such intimate moments, i do feel a heart struggling by showing the controversial scene, and that was because like i said, i was too focused with the romance.. glad that i've moved on and tends to focus the political parts even in political view, in my opinion to be exact, her decision to gave up her virginity is dumb, the reason is because of the facts of ep10, which is -Dartanian military power is much probably poor -and Mirza himself doesnt seem to be a good commander in the end, i wont call marrine a bitch etc i only saw her as a tragic character, she looks like a puppet ruler to me, her dad is probably taught her less, even not even taught her about being a ruler, so the other lords could easily control her, indirectly same with alexis, he doesn't seem to be a good leader, he even wanted to renounce his position, that could probably be a proof that his dad was also taught him less about being a ruler |
