| One Outs: Yeah they are playing baseball but I'd rather be the MC of a Issekai series than be the MC of this show for how much consequences are at stake but he still is cool and calculating the whole time. Golgo 13: It's James Bond the anime. Ain't much cooler than that. Also suggest the dubs on this one. I'm sure there's more but not many come to mind atm. |

Ain't much cooler than that. Also suggest the dubs on this one. For immersion purposes, the dub on this anime isn't exceptionally good or bad but neither are the side characters of the sub. What makes the difference however is that as a show about a globe trotting hitman who takes many contracts in English speaking countries it breaks immersion when they all just speak fluent Japanese. Some shows like Lupin II get away with this when the Japanese VAs just as a whole stand out in such extreme iconic performances of recurring characters but that's not the case with Golgo 13.The main brunt of the cast we see int this episodic series comes from it's side cast so the strength of the show's voice acting performances comes from them. This is even more so due to the fact Duke Togo the show's main character speaks maybe 3 lines per episode on average. Also, in the Dub the VAs characterize themselves to the region where the characters are from while in the Sub they characterize themselves to whatever the scene dictates. It's a matter of preference and I usually wouldn't go Dub on something without good reason. But this in my opinion is one of those good reasons. Also David Wald in my opinion does an exceptional Duke Togo giving it the baritone and rasp needed in dialogue. Pretty big fan of Golgo 13 franchise but have never managed to get into the subs all that much. |

| My favorite of that kind of character is Kazami Yuuji from Grisaia series. That guy earn my respect as one of my fav protag. The anime is meh but the VN are great, especially the first one. One of the recent one but i hate soo much is the protag of classroom of the elite... such a bland character imo. |
