What is the new Fairy Tail project?
| I would assume if it's a new project it's probably going to be a spin-off of sort, most likely an anime original series. Probably not going to be a long running one just under the assumption that they wouldn't want to keep the fans waiting for the main series too long. |

| I would never want Fairy Tail to end this legendary anime has to continue till the end it didnt had any flaws nor it will have any i hope it will stay on rocking the way it is till the end of my breath because this anime is my breath ALL HAIL FAIRY TAIL |
| can't wait for the movie and hope this is a spin-off or an original. I hope we get the entire series end later I love FT so much. Hope the manga lasts till late 2017 or 2018 |

Also they make filler chapters some good some not so good. Daphne arc was awful, Key of the Starry Sky arc is a filler Anime only (that is one with the infinite clock) was ok, Eclipse Celestial Spirits arc is also anime only (that is the one Zodiac go crazy) it is a pretty fun arc. Other then one of filler don't real hurt the story are often silly those are the big fillers. |

| The Alvarez Empire arc is already too long to be anything but a 52+ episode series, but I hope it comes soon!!! I don't want Fairy Tail to end, because I enjoy it so much, but I don't want it to drag on and end up being bad... If Mashima-san has a good, satisfying ending lined up, I'd have no objection to Fairy Tail ending. :) |
| My first guess would be a spin-off or something similar. But thinking better, perhaps... The longest the arc, the lower the ratio (CHAPTERS:EPISODES). The Games Arc, for example, had almost 80 chapters, and about 50 episodes. That's about 1.6:1. The Alvarez Arc has already about 70 chapters. Following this untrustworthy ratio of mine, that would be about 40 episodes. We need quite a few more weeks for a satisfying ending, so yeah, until the middle of 2017, they will have the content for a new +52 series. The unknown factor that only Mashima knows (probably not even him) is how long FT will take to come to an end. I get the feeling the story is closing up. And, unless they decide do get more money like Naruto or Bleach (please, no), it should be over in a few years. 2? Then it may not be worth restarting the series to stop again in 12 months (~52 eps). More than that? Then by all means, come back at 2017. That said, this arc is getting Japan all fired up. It may be a good moment to come back. But who am I to say anything? I 'ship' a new series. |

I agree it's not one of my top five, but the series is just fine. I can point 10 other anime that is much worse than FT. Personally I think a spin-off short 24 ep. would be the best solution. Because the gap between the manga and anime isn't too big enough if we don't want filler at all. And if we don't want to ruin it's reputation like we see in One Piece and Naruto, a spin-off series is the best. Currently the gap is only approx. 90 chapters which is way too small gap. A gap around 150-200 chapter is fine. Cause then the anime won't catch up with the manga so soon. I think it would best to wait with the main story until 2018 were the gap won't be that big anymore. |

Not keep the main anime series going on for too long??????? ONE PIECE, BLEACH, NARUTO, YUGIOH, POKEMON, DIGIMON, and probably god knows how many more... I'm honestly getting impatient for a new series I could watch any fairy tail episode they throw at me I absolutely love the anime haha Nah you misread it, I said if it is a spin-off/anime original project then they're probably going to want to get back to the main series fairly soon afterwards but the project would certainly keep fans satisfied for a bit especially since the current manga arc appears to be the second longest to date and could take the position of longest in a bit over a month. Basically they probably want to have a clear cut plan for the main series after seeing where this current arc ends up and a 3 month (12 episode) anime original could be the time they need. |

| I really wish fairy tail could go on forever but it cant. I want to see the new movie and i hope there will be another season and a long one. When fairy tail ends ill be sad for months. |
| Tbh Fairy Tail is by far my favorite anime, this is the first time I have ever incountered a serie that made me watch 175 episode in under a week. I hope the serie will keep on going cause #FairyTailIsLife |
