Which is better so far. Season 1 or Season 2

I always pick 1st episode of every anime in the season to see if its any good. When Kuroko1 came I was immediatly hooked for some reason. After watching the 1st episode I had 3 other episodes waiting. Through those episodes, which I watched in a row right after the 1st, I was constantly wondering: "Why is this show so daaaaaaamn goooood?, I don't like basketball at all. So why?"

I thought it was because of GoM my love for "battles" like this. Humor wasn't too bad either but the idea of GoM alone was amazing to me. I was constantly humming the music from those episodes waiting for the next. Nearly every episode had those moments with good soundtrack that I could watch dozens of times in a row.

First season:

Episode 24 - 17.54-18.50 This was bit poorly chosen, and why I didn't remember this before now.

Now some of these are bit unfair as we haven't finished an intense match yet. BUT I can't even hum anything from this current ost for half second. Now even a quarter. In fact, I can't recall any music at all from Kuroko2 except the amazing opening. I can recall "opening the door" moment but I can't recall the music. I was so hyped for over year because of the ost, waiting patiently after amazing Kise Vs aomine game. Would it be good with current ost? HELL NO! Where is my GoM Theme?

So know I know why I loved this show so much. GoM, humor, and THE OST. I will watch this season because its still very nice show. But so far it has nothing on season 1 because of the ost. It may look better but doesn't make show more enjoyable.

I 100% agree with you, without the first season OST, i am all the time feeling something is missing and the first season OST gave me goosebumbs.

New OP& ED are good but other OST is just lame.

I'm a big KnB fangirl but I have to agree that the OST this season is pretty lackluster. I can't remember any of it lol.

umm, I just started ignoring the music. The play is extremely well animated. Its more than enough to pump me up.
And for a series like KnB I found watching 4-5 eps at a time much more effective for continuation purpose.

The beginning of the first season was as mediocre as this one (actually the whole first half of the first season was meh), but since the first season improved, guess the 2nd will? (well judging from the content, it should)

I liked the start of season 1 a lot more than season 2. Music doesn't matter to me. Season 2's animation is amazing, even more so than season 1. Won't judge till the end tho.

Nope. In manga, as far as I remember, season 2 action, characters and basketball should be a lot better, but in the anime season 1 suspense was greater, imo.

I already started a discussion, as early as episode 7 of S2 that I was disappointed in this season compared to S1. Some of it because of the OST, but mainly because I thought the story blew chunks and was really dragging its feet. They pushed that hyugga/teppei bromance angle for about 2 extra episodes and by the time we even saw the first 'legit' match of the season with Too pt 2 (episode 14), I was already burned out.

Plus, I've never been a fan of the ssj zone 'superpowers'. so to me even though the animation quality might have been better for those 'peak' matches, none of the matches even came close to impact that S1 reached. Even the first practice match with first years vs senpais was intriguing because you felt like seirin still had something to prove. Season 2, you basically knew seirin was winning every match, regardless.

Equal, but I rate S1 higher because it had a better impression on me overall (marathoning a sports series makes it harder to find flaws)
