| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The concept kinda reminds me of Genshiken lol.. OP song is okay I guess, kinda catchy with the cosplay sequences. The MC kinda pisses me off though with his awkward personality and clumsiness. Subaru's my favorite so far because she can kick some major ass. Aya isn't so far though despite getting the most highlights so far. Oh well, hope to see this develop more. Animation is pretty decent though. |

| It is very important to clearly point out the difference between: - Episode 1 of the 13-episode TV series, "Comic Party Revolution" (2005) ( which is the subject of this thread. ) versus - Episode 1 of the 4-episode OVA series which followed the 13-episode "Comic Party" 2001 TV series ( There is a separate MAL thread for that OVA series. ) These are extremely similar, and the basic story is the same. The OVA is five minutes longer than the 2005 TV series episode. For my discussions of the differences, which could possibly involve spoilers for those people who have not watched Episode 1 of the OVA, have a look at the discussion thread for Episode 1 of the OVA, in that other forum. However, in summary, I don't think it is so, so exciting to see the longer version of basically the same story. But decide for yourself. However, the same is not true for some later episodes, such as Episode 2 of the OVA versus Episode 2 of the TV series. The difference is greater. |

| I really enjoyed the first season for its comedic but sincere portrayal of what it's like to create/sell doujinshi. It was very refreshing to watch. Now the series has devolved into a LOLrandom harem comedy show. What a letdown. Dropped. |
| If you've watched the OVA, then there's no point watching this. You can skip to episode 5 unless you want to rewatch. |
